Many years later, I still remember that famous players’ chant: “All my life, I wanna be a Brickie. WORK! WORK! WORK!”
Wow…..proud of this team, the coaches, and this kid for overcoming adversity and claiming the Class 4A Sectional 17 Championship last night🏆🏈Flipped the script and walked off the field a CHAMPION. Enjoy the moment and get back to work on Monday.

Good points.
The guy just wins wherever he goes. But now, he’s got more advantages over his local competition than ever. Not even other DAC schools can compete with Crown Point’s resources and growth. This is a program that’s just about guaranteed at least a regional berth every year.

Not at all. Buzea doesn’t walk on water but knows how to build a program with players and coaches who aren’t afraid to make sacrifices. He’s been doing it for years wherever he held a clipboard and whistle.
You make it sound like he walked into CP and the program turned around on its own. It took a tremendous amount of time, hardwork, and commitment from the coaches, players, and parents. Success isn’t given it’s earned and these coaches and players bust their asses to earn it!

Felt like we sent an army of reporters to the wildly-hyped up Oct. 15, 1988 “Catholics vs. Convicts” slugfest between No. 4 Notre Dame and No. 1 Miami, winning of 36 straight regular season games. Lou Holtz vs. Jimmy Johnson. Mercy. Irish won, 31-30, on way to a national title.

A huge high-five to Chesterton for winning its first football sectional. Coach Mark Peterson, take a bow. There were some great coaches before you — Ray Banary, Bill Dorulla, Mike Jennings and John Snyder — with good teams and exceptional players, but couldn’t survive postseason.

NWI fans wonder why Crown Point is so damn good, year after year. Two words: Craig Buzea. Here’s a savvy coach who inspires players just by entering the room and knows how to pick a multi-skilled staff most opponents would love to have.

Defensive or offensive future? I’d say QB. Looks like a leader.
147
Yes, yes, yes, a thousand times YES! Caleb Williams is the real deal, has all the tools, is potentially the Bears’ greatest QB ever, and will only get better if he stays healthy. Once highly-regarded Mitch Trubisky, Justin Fields, Rex Grossman and Jay Cutler were only a tease.

Not versatile enough for big-market TV like Chicago. Ravi seldom did interviews on the street during huge breaking news events (storms not included) and was used primarily as an evening anchor. Given his salary, was more of a pinch-hitter than lead-off hitter in ABC lineup.

Don’t you dare touch the one in Schererville.
Portillo’s to shutter five to nine restaurants outside Chicago. The move is part of a strategic plan to strengthen fundamentals, as CEO Brett Patterson resets the growth path for the fast-casual chain. ow.ly/3FCM106HYZl

With Congressional oversight soon to become a reality, thankfully, I promise to do my best to refrain from political posts.

Your ‘walks’ are like a tour of National Geographic.
My morning walk through Whiting Park.

So the Bulls get embarrassed, again, this time by the NY Knicks, giving up 84 points the first half and trailing by as many 44 in the game. This is going to be a l-o-n-g season, like walking the Chicago Marathon.

“The Natural” — wasn’t that a movie?
Sometimes you just have to get in your truck and drive 3 hours to see your grand son..he could fit into my 1st base glove..James Patrick Kittle it was great meeting you and holding you ❤️ and it only took 30 seconds for you to fill your diaper when I first held you. Love it.

We’re so lucky as NWI sports fans: The Bears, Notre Dame, Indiana and Purdue basketball, all within driving distance.

I appreciate ONE thing: He gave new life to Mike Myers’ career on SNL by doing the best Elon impersonation ever.
Didn’t call him stupid. Typical Trumper, Money/Wealth = Superior Human. Trump and Musk two of the wealthiest humans, but also the most immoral.

America speaks. Love ya, Bob.

He’s got geniuses working for him but as a human being, he’s a total loser. No empathy (remember DOGE?) No common sense. No character. Immature. Greedy. Corrupt as you-know-who. Creepy. Arrogant. Cowardly. Can’t put a sentence together. What a clown.
Replying to @AlHamnik
Yeah, he's stupid Al, owns 5 companies and is the richest man ever to walk the planet. Lol.

No more buying elections. Elon Musk can take his $224 million Texas ‘bribe’ and shove it. He’s as stupid as he is rich. What a waste. Think of the good his millions could’ve done where desperately needed. But that would require having a soul.
