Everyone saw EVERY Super Bowl Winning team with a dominant DT
▫️Byron Murphy/Leonard Williams
▫️Jalen Carter/Jordan Davis
▫️Chris Jones
▫️Aaron Donald
▫️Vita Vea
and all of a sudden are mad when the Bengals got a player on the same level of these guys?
Anyone watching State of the Jungle knows we’ve preached this lol
Super Bowl Champs’ DTs by year:
2025: Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy
2024: Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Milton Williams
2023: Chris Jones
2022: Chris Jones
2021: Aaron Donald
2020: Vita Vea
2019: Chris Jones
Every defense was built around All-Pro level DT play. An elite one makes every player around them better. The Bears move for Jeffery Simmons and the Bengals move for Dexter Lawrence are the latest examples of teams going for it with the game’s best DTs. It is absolutely a premium position now.
5 teams IMO with a legit Super Bowl chance this year:
Buffalo Bills
Kansas City Chiefs
Cincinnati Bengals
San Francisco 49ers
Chicago Bears
