CausalPipe update ! 🚀
Finally shipped a few things I’ve wanted for ages:
- FAS bootstrap edge inclusion probabilities for edge stability quantification and filtering
- PySR integration (amazing library by @MilesCranmer) with chainable hill climbing: SEM → best graph → PySR, or run PySR directly.
- With FAS/KCI → PySR works nicely for nonlinearities
- Cyclic SCM solver for simulation/fit checks
- Model selection via pseudolikelihood + MMD^2
Causal discovery has loads of trade-offs, but the workflow feels powerful.
Next up: faster PySR hillclimb, longitudinal data, MSM with automated nuisance/weight models for IPTW, IPCW, AIPW.

I'm convinced Codex deliberately compacts its context every time I start yelling at it. It's the only way it can get back at me.
“The End of Heroes”
Were they ever truly heroes tho. Humanity and its constant hunger for dominant figures.. tiring.

Et deux jours après, @plantu à parfaitement croqué ce que je voulais exprimer...
Composer prediction == Codex prompt prediction ?
Big game changer for me... Never felt more useless in my life 🥹
That feeling when you have no more tokens… but you realise you have not cancelled your other pro account.
Jensen Huang: We can’t design a chip anymore without AI.
“At night, our AIs are exploring design spaces vast and wide that we would never do ourselves.”
“Our chips are so much better because of AI. We can reduce energy use and get higher performance.”
“Our software, we can’t write software without AI anymore.”
“We use AI to find bugs, figure out what’s wrong with the code, and who’s likely involved.”
“I want every organization and company to use AI very aggressively.”
“I want to turn NVIDIA into one giant AI.”
“My heart beat quickens
My breath it deepens
My footsteps falters
Your memory’s salt to the wound
Of calling your name is bound to the rain
I see you in forest dreams”

What extremists like @GillVerd or even LeCun don’t seem to understand is that by politicizing the issue and constantly framing it as an “us vs. them” struggle, they are setting themselves up to lose.
Over the next few years, a huge share of the public will become deeply anti-AI if people feel ignored, demeaned, and treated as collateral damage by this narrative.
If extremism becomes the only path forward, it will end catastrophically for everyone.
Fortunately, people who care more about a smooth transition, and about the safety, dignity, and well-being of citizens, will probably end up taking the lead.
