Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

a small VM change that Rust contract devs will feel: bulk memory is coming to the MultiversX executor.
until now, the VM's opcode list did not allow memory.copy and memory.fill.
so when a contract copies or clears a buffer, the WASM does it with a loop of loads and stores. more instructions, more gas, bigger code.
the new work in mx-vm-executor-rs does three things:
1. opcode sets are now versioned.
V1 is the old list and stays the default. V2 adds memory.copy and memory.fill.
memory.init and data.drop stay out. only what is needed.
a module using memory.copy is rejected under V1 and accepted under V2, and there is a test for exactly that.
2. the new opcodes get their own gas formula:
base cost + bytes × per-byte cost.
the base cost is charged even for a zero-byte copy, so nobody gets free calls.
3. the experimental executor moves to Wasmer 7.5, with a shared limit of 4,000 locals per function and boundary tests for both executors.
how come it is versioned, and not simply switched on?
every validator has to agree on which modules are valid and what each instruction costs, down to the byte. so a new WASM feature arrives as one explicit config that the whole network moves to together.
what is still open: integrating the new executor into the Go VM (mx-chain-vm-go #990) is in review.
for contract devs: cheaper copies and smaller contracts, once the network and your build target V2.

elrond-erd-2:native You can tell which posters are experiencing their first bear market. I've already been through this with Bitcoin, then I bought ETH when it dropped 90% first cycle. I did the same with ADA and then SOL in their first cycles. Now I'm doing it with EGLD. I'll make another 20x-100x and people will call me lucky. Crypto is in a secular trend. Just buy when you're sad and sell when you're happy. But I'll remember which people were clowns and cry babies.

@MultiversX added 648 new accounts a day on Oct 13, marking a 69.2% increase compared to 383 on Oct 12.
• Peak daily new accounts reached 1,618 on Sep 4
• The low point dropped to 126 on Sep 19 before a multi-day offline
• Performance since Jul 16 shows a net change of +4.0% overall
Where do elrond-erd-2:native daily new accounts settle after these swings?

speed is won. scalability is delivered by MvX.
Vitalik is saying this about zkEVMs today.
i would say the same about any chain that already shipped latency.
after the hard part stops being "how fast",
the next hard part is "what exactly did we ship".
formally verifying the critical paths.
equivalence to the spec.
hard bounds on cost. but not even that closes all the gaps. even formally verified code can have bugs 🐛.
i do think the consumer facing apps are more important, oh, and the consumer facing security. evm or zkevm the user is still one approve away from being drained. if the wallets, apps, whole ecosystem does not adopt better security standards, it doesn’t matter what is formally verified.
Big congratulations to the @zksync airbender team for this milestone.
At this point, I consider the battle for speed to be definitively won, and the top priority for zkEVMs should shift fully to security.
To me that means formally verifying
(i) equivalence of the arithmetization to the ethereum spec
(ii) a hard maximum bound on (prover cost) / (amount of gas in block)
(iii) security of the proof system itself

elrond-erd-2:native — MultiversX
ㅤ
Most Layer 1s compete on speed.
ㅤ
elrond-erd-2:native is trying to combine speed with something harder:
ㅤ
Making blockchain simple enough for real users and real businesses.
ㅤ
MultiversX is a high-performance blockchain ecosystem focused on scalable apps, payments, digital assets, and consumer-friendly Web3.
ㅤ
Save this checklist:
ㅤ
-> What it does
ㅤ
MultiversX gives developers infrastructure for building fast applications with low-cost transactions.
ㅤ
Think:
ㅤ
Payments.
DeFi.
Gaming.
Digital identity.
Consumer apps.
ㅤ
-> Main narrative
ㅤ
Layer 1.
Consumer Crypto.
Payments.
Web3 Apps.
Scalability.
ㅤ
-> Why it matters
ㅤ
Crypto still has a usability problem.
ㅤ
Fast blockchains are useful, but normal users also need simple wallets, easy payments, and apps that do not feel complicated.
ㅤ
MultiversX has spent a lot of time trying to improve that user experience.
ㅤ
-> What makes it different
ㅤ
MultiversX combines a scalable blockchain with a strong focus on consumer-facing products and digital identity.
ㅤ
That gives it a broader angle than simply competing on transaction speed.
ㅤ
-> Bull case
ㅤ
If consumer crypto, blockchain payments, and Web3 apps start reaching more mainstream users, MultiversX could benefit from being built around both performance and usability.
ㅤ
That gives elrond-erd-2:native a strong re-rating angle if ecosystem activity starts accelerating.
ㅤ
-> Bear case
ㅤ
Adoption + competition.
ㅤ
The Layer 1 market is extremely crowded.
ㅤ
MultiversX still needs more users, liquidity, developers, and applications to prove that its technology can win meaningful market share.
ㅤ
-> What to watch
ㅤ
Active users.
Developer growth.
DeFi TVL.
Stablecoin liquidity.
Payment activity.
Consumer app adoption.
EGLD token demand.
ㅤ
My view:
ㅤ
Narrative: 8/10
Utility: 9/10
Adoption: 7/10
Risk: Medium-High
Upside: High
ㅤ
Layer 1.
Payments.
Consumer crypto.
ㅤ
elrond-erd-2:native is basically a bet that blockchain adoption grows through better user experience, not just faster technology.
ㅤ
If consumer-facing Web3 starts getting another strong rotation, MultiversX is one of the older Layer 1 names worth revisiting.
ㅤ
Save this for your Layer 1 / consumer crypto watchlist.

Been using MultiversX wallets and honestly the UX is smoother than most L1s I have tried but I rarely see anyone actually building on it beyond a few games. You rated adoption 7 out of 10 which feels generous when DeFi TVL and active
