Cat is out of the bag, have a look at our operational testing of khapra beetle detection using #eDNA to complement #biosecurity @CentreInvasives @Di_GleesonNZ @UC_CCEG
We’ve set up the world’s first survey using #eDNA to detect #khaprabeetle in sea containers, with Dr Alejandro Trujillo-Gonzalez (University of Canberra) and Qube Holdings! Survey results may lead to changes to our khapra beetle urgent actions. More: awe.gov.au/khapra-urgent-act…

Intense Day2 of #MolEcol23 module ended successfully. 7 hrs sampling of sites along the #Kinzig river. Then students processed their samples & started (e)DNA extraction 🙏👍🏼
Much longer than a regular teaching day - but that can happen if one includes real research in teaching. – at Gelnhausen, Deutschland
It's happening!!! Great opportunity to work with one of the best teams in this part of the world :)

We are now looking for a PhD candidate to work with us on this project. We will look at the processes underlying maturation and ovulation, aiming to further improve current breeding practices. PhD details (scholarship included) available here lnkd.in/gqYdfFsv @CSTFA_JCU
I'm still soaking it in, but I received the wonderful news on Friday that I was awarded an @arc_gov_au Early Career Industry Fellowship to develop advanced reproductive techniques that will transform barramundi selecting breeding programs. @jcu @CSTFA_JCU #ECR #Aquaculture
And it's done! What a great opportunity we had to discuss #eDNA innovation, implementation and operational use. Thank you, @PISCeS_eDNA, for giving me the opportunity to meet the many teams pushing the envelope of Research in the US and Canada. Until next time! @SeDNASociety
@DeBrauwerM my first slides of the keynote! You lifesaver.

I had a great time catching up with @AlejandroT_G during @PISCeS_eDNA this week. Awesome to see an old Australian labmate after 5 years, and both still pationate about eDNA. Alejandro gave an enlightening talk about how Australia has implemented best practice eDNA guidelines. – at Guelph, Ontario
