Matt Baker, the CPUC utility shill, is apparently cleaning up his act. In order to clear his digital footprint in order to look deserving of the title of CPUC President, he's deleting some of his older tweets. How funny.

Roughly 30% of all projected U.S. net farm income in 2026 now comes from taxpayers, w/ many farms receiving more than $1M a year from Uncle Sam. EWG has been tracking farm subsidies for decades, w/ more than $570B of our $$ sent to farmers since 1995. farm.ewg.org/
Scoop: Top Republicans are banking on Trump’s promised $8 billion for farmers to stem GOP bleeding in farm states. It’s worked in the past just ahead of Election Day. But the internal, taxpayer funded USDA account Trump is tapping doesn’t actually have enough $$ in it right now to make the direct payments. Congress will have to approve the new funds (a fight ahead in a GOP pkg or bipartisan year-end bill) or the admin will have to take it from another program, per Trump officials. Farmers won’t get any payments until late Nov or Dec at the earliest, likely later. The disaster aid-like payment structure is coming later in Nov. Farm state Hill Rs are still planning to push for another +$12 billion in year-end package. They've said farmers need +$50 million in aid to recover from the hit of tariffs and high fuel costs. more w/ @YarrowGrace politico.com/news/2026/10/20…

Add that to the roughly $45 billion taxpayers have already spent on his war of choice with Iran. Looks like long-haul truck drivers are SOL.
Relief is on the way 💪

Just add this to the $45 billion taxpayers have already spent funding Trump's dumb war of choice with Iran.
Harvest relief for America’s farmers. Today, @POTUS and @SecRollins announced the Harvest Fuel Relief Program — making $8 BILLION available for one-time payments to farmers facing higher costs and market disruptions. Here’s what that means: ➡️ Payments to help cover a portion of estimated losses for the 2026 crop year. ➡️ Payment amounts based on planted acres, production costs, crop yields, and prices. ➡️ Row crop payment rates announced in November, with details for other eligible commodities to follow. ➡️ Application will be available online using a Login.gov account that is connected to USDA. 🔗 usda.gov/about-usda/news/pre…

Thousands of people losing a resource as vital as electricity simply because PG&E can't use their wildfire management fund to actually prevent wildfires. A damn shame.
POWER SHUTOFFS: Thousands of PG&E customers are impacted by Public Safety Power Shutoffs this morning.

You've cut 17K+ solar jobs and stolen money from SOMAH and other low-income solar groups during your tenure. Don't act like California's energy savior when you bathe in the pockets of utilities.
The FOURTH largest economy in the world now runs on two-thirds clean energy. California proved the skeptics WRONG. You don’t have to choose between climate action and economic growth. We’re doing both.

Delish.
🤡 Eric Schmitt beclowns himself during Jack Smith hearing 🤡 Schmitt concocted an elaborate conspiracy theory that Smith traveled to Atlanta to go to a Hawks game and collude with Fani Willis, and briefly displayed his "evidence" on a poster board before accusing Smith of perjury. There's just one problem -- Schmitt's facts were totally wrong. Smith was actually in Maryland at a Hawkeyes (not a Hawks) game and never met Willis. As Klobuchar told him, "You have your teams wrong." Here's the whole deeply embarrassing sequence:

Wildfires would be more preventable and much easier to deal with if we didn't have loads of neglected gear spread throughout the state.

And one of the dumbest actions EVER, too.
The Trump EPA just announced the largest deregulatory action EVER for the U.S. power sector, unleashing American energy dominance, ramping up reliable and affordable baseload power, securing American energy jobs, and delivering warm homes in the winter and cool homes in the summer. This is a MASSIVE WIN under President Trump’s leadership for increased access to natural gas and clean beautiful coal for American families and businesses. epa.gov/newsreleases/epa-fin…

This is the obvious solution and should've been the original plan if any of you had any forethought. Reducing fire risks by 98%? Awesome! Tell that to the 117+ people your negligence and shitty equipment has KILLED. #Utilities #UtilitiesSuck #PGENot4Me #Energy #CleanEnergy
What does a safer, more resilient grid look like? Sometimes, it looks like digging. PG&E is undergrounding thousands of miles of power lines in higher wildfire-risk areas, reducing wildfire risk by up to 98%. See the work happening on the frontlines: pge.com
