Behind the design of these Supreme Jesus items from Fall/Winter 2025 📚 It’s been a while since the last Behind the Design post, so I thought I’d finally cover this topic that I meant to write about a year ago. A couple of items released last year featured the same distinct pattern, catching the attention of anyone who appreciates unique pieces. As it turns out, this design was far from random. Just a few months back, rouchis_archive casually posted a piece from the Helmut Lang archive on his page, as he often does, and it was a total eureka moment. That Helmut Lang tank top from Spring/Summer 1993 features an all-over print of Jesus and the Sacred Heart, which is the exact same design Supreme used on their items! The outer side is muted on both versions of the design, but flipping it inside out reveals a vibrant, highly saturated pattern. Helmut Lang originally introduced this piece in a 1993 collection heavily inspired by Christian iconography. And as we’ve seen both recently and throughout the brand's history, Supreme is no stranger to using Jesus imagery. Helmut Lang has also popularized several other concepts familiar to Supreme fans, such as tactical and ballistic vests, all-over printed jeans, and various signature graphic styles.
