Your growth is directly tied to your desire to hear the truth.

The hardest shift in the year isn’t XC to track.
It’s 5K rhythm to 1600 rhythm.
Different engine.
Different cadence.
Different level of honesty.
So we reset with something simple:
10×150 @ 1600 pace, walk back recovery.
No pressure to hit magical times.
Just asking the legs to remember:
“This is the gear we’ll need later.”
We’ll extend the reps in a few weeks.
We’ll add density after that.
We’ll sharpen in the spring.
But right now?
We re-teach the feeling.
Because if you can’t feel the pace,
you can’t hold the pace.
And you definitely can’t race the pace.
