I'm Roy Cooper and I grew up here in Nash County. My mom was a public-school teacher, my dad a small-town lawyer and farmer. It’s where I started my family and my law practice that helped everyday people and small businesses.
I will work hard for you as your next U.S.Senator.

I have thought on it and prayed about it, and I have decided: I am running to be the next U.S. Senator from North Carolina.

Some former staff members gathered to see the required official portrait that has been placed in the Governor’s mansion. I’m so grateful to them for working so hard to help make NC the best place to live.

One of the greatest honors I have had serving our Jordan H.S. community as Athletic Director has been getting to know this group of fascinating Jordan alumni. Their accomplishments, both at Jordan and beyond, are nothing short of amazing. Congratulations to the HOF Class of 2024!
