Today, we had the pleasure of recognising an outstanding group of institutions and national talents who have played a leading role in supporting nationalisation efforts in the private sector. We regard the Qatar Award for Nationalisation in the Private Sector not merely as a platform for competition, but as a reflection of the dynamism of the private sector, the growing presence of national talent within it, and the commitment of institutions to attracting Qatari nationals and developing their capabilities. It also recognises the exceptional standards of performance, leadership and innovation demonstrated by Qatari men and women.

سعدنا اليوم بتكريم كوكبة متميزة من المؤسسات والكفاءات الوطنية الرائدة في دعم جهود التوطين في القطاع الخاص، إننا لا ننظر إلى جائزة قطر للتوطين في القطاع الخاص باعتبارها ميدانا للتنافس فحسب، بل نراها انعكاسا لحيوية القطاع الخاص، واتساع حضور الكفاءات الوطنية فيه، وحرص المؤسسات على استقطاب القطريين وتطوير قدراتهم، إلى جانب ما يقدمه المواطنون والمواطنات من نماذج استثنائية في الأداء والقيادة والابتكار.

It was a pleasure to take part in the opening of the Seventh Government Forum to Combat Trafficking in Persons in the Middle East, hosted by the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain. Through our annual participation in the Forum, we remain committed to deepening partnerships among the countries of the region and to strengthening cooperation and coordinating efforts to combat the crime of trafficking in persons, given the transnational threat it poses, which demands a joint and effective response.

سررت بالمشاركة في افتتاح أعمال الدورة السابعة للمنتدى الحكومي لمكافحة الاتجار بالأشخاص في الشرق الأوسط، بمملكة البحرين الشقيقة، نحرص من خلال مشاركتنا السنوية في المنتدى على تعميق الشراكات بين دول المنطقة، وتعزيز التعاون وتنسيق الجهود لمكافحة جريمة الاتجار بالأشخاص، لما تمثله من خطر عابر للحدود يتطلب استجابة مشتركة وفاعلة.

I was pleased to participate today in the 12th Meeting of the GCC Labour Ministers Committee and attend a ceremony in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain honouring outstanding projects and leading figures in labour, civil service and social affairs. These events reflect our commitment to strengthening joint GCC cooperation, sharing experiences, empowering national talent and advancing job nationalisation.

سعدت اليوم بالمشاركة في الاجتماع الثاني عشر للجنة وزراء العمل بدول مجلس التعاون، وحضور حفل تكريم المشاريع والشخصيات الرائدة في مجالات العمل والخدمة المدنية والشؤون الاجتماعية في مملكة البحرين الشقيقة، بما يعكس حرصنا على تعزيز العمل الخليجي المشترك، وتبادل التجارب، وتمكين الكوادر الوطنية ودعم توطين الوظائف.

I was pleased today to launch the Second Doha Dialogue on Labour Mobility between Africa and the GCC+, held in Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania, in the presence of H.E. Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, President of Zanzibar, representing H.E. Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, and representatives of brotherly and friendly countries. Through this dialogue, we continue the State of Qatar’s approach to strengthening international cooperation on labour mobility, guided by our belief that building fair and sustainable systems requires effective partnerships between labour-sending and labour-receiving countries, the exchange of expertise, and practical solutions that take account of all parties’ interests, meet labour market needs and safeguard workers’ rights.

سعدت اليوم بإطلاق أعمال حوار الدوحة الثاني بشأن تنقل العمالة بين إفريقيا ودول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية + والمنعقد في دار السلام بجمهورية تنزانيا المتحدة، بحضور فخامة الدكتور حسين علي مونيي، رئيس زنجبار ، ممثلا لفخامة الدكتورة سامية صولوحو حسن، رئيسة جمهورية تنزانيا المتحدة، ومشاركة ممثلي الدول الشقيقة والصديقة. نواصل من خلال هذا الحوار نهج دولة قطر في تعزيز التعاون الدولي بشأن تنقل العمالة، انطلاقا من إيماننا بأن بناء منظومات عادلة ومستدامة يتطلب شراكة فاعلة بين الدول المصدرة والمستقدمة للعمالة، وتبادل الخبرات، وتطوير حلول عملية تراعي مصالح الجميع، وتلبي متطلبات سوق العمل، وتصون حقوق العمال.

Over two days, we held productive consultations on the launch and targets of the private-sector nationalisation plan, with chief executives and senior representatives from state-owned enterprises, public-benefit entities and Qatar-listed companies. We believe its success depends on effective partnership and continued dialogue with the private sector to strengthen the participation and presence of national talent in the labour market.

عقدنا على مدى يومين جلسات تشاورية مثمرة حول إطلاق خطة ومستهدفات التوطين في القطاع الخاص، بمشاركة عدد من الرؤساء التنفيذيين وممثلي الإدارة العليا في الشركات المملوكة للدولة، والجهات ذات النفع العام، والشركات المدرجة في بورصة قطر. ونؤمن بأن نجاح خطة التوطين وتحقيق مستهدفاتها يرتكز على الشراكة الفاعلة والتشاور المستمر مع القطاع الخاص، بما يسهم في تعزيز مشاركة الكفاءات الوطنية ورفع حضورها في سوق العمل.

I was pleased today to see the inaugural 2026 Qatar Nationalisation Award for the Private Sector reach its final stage with the announcement of the winners. They have set outstanding examples in strengthening the participation of Qataris in the labour market and supporting national development. I congratulate all the winners and look forward to building on their achievements and good practices to advance nationalisation and strengthen the role of Qatari talent in the private sector.

سعدت اليوم بوصول الدورة الأولى من جائزة قطر للتوطين في القطاع الخاص 2026 إلى مراحلها النهائية، بإعلان الفائزين الذين قدموا نماذج وطنية متميزة أسهمت في تعزيز مشاركة القوى العاملة الوطنية في سوق العمل، ودعم مسيرة التنمية الوطنية. أبارك لجميع الفائزين، وأتطلع إلى مواصلة البناء على هذه التجارب والممارسات المتميزة، بما يعزز جهود التوطين ويدعم مشاركة الكفاءات الوطنية في القطاع الخاص.

I was pleased to participate today in the 2026 Annual Forum of the Global Coalition for Social Justice, during the high-level panel entitled ‘From International Commitments to Implementation: Delivering Social Justice’. During the session, we highlighted the State of Qatar’s role and ongoing efforts to advance social justice and translate international commitments into tangible labour market policies and practices.

سعدت اليوم بالمشاركة في أعمال المنتدى السنوي لعام 2026 للتحالف العالمي من أجل العدالة الاجتماعية، ضمن الجلسة رفيعة المستوى بعنوان «من الالتزامات الدولية إلى التنفيذ: تحقيق العدالة الاجتماعية»، استعرضنا خلال الجلسة دور دولة قطر وجهودها في تعزيز العدالة الاجتماعية، وتحويل الالتزامات الدولية إلى سياسات وممارسات ملموسة في سوق العمل.

في ظل أوضاع إقليمية بالغة الدقة والتعقيد، تأتي مشاركتنا في الدورة الـ52 لمؤتمر العمل العربي تأكيدًا على أهمية توحيد الرؤى وتعزيز العمل العربي المشترك، لمواجهة ما تفرضه المتغيرات الراهنة من تحديات على التنمية والاقتصاد وأسواق العمل. وقد أكدت، إلى جانب أصحاب السعادة والمعالي، أن المرحلة الراهنة تتطلب اقتصادًا منتجًا، وسوق عمل مرنة، وعدالة اجتماعية متوازنة.

I was pleased to hold productive meetings today in Skopje with H.E. Mr Besar Durmishi, Minister of Economy and Labour of the Republic of North Macedonia, and several senior officials. We discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in the labour sector and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at improving the working environment and advancing the labour markets of both countries.

سعدت اليوم بعقد لقاءات مثمرة في العاصمة سكوبيه مع سعادة السيد بيسار دورميشي، وزير الاقتصاد والعمل في جمهورية مقدونيا الشمالية، وعدد من المسؤولين، حيث بحثنا سبل تعزيز التعاون وتبادل الخبرات في قطاع العمل، إلى جانب توقيع مذكرة تفاهم بشأن التعاون في مجال العمل، بما يسهم في تطوير بيئة العمل والارتقاء بسوق العمل في البلدين.

نتقدم بخالص العزاء لحضرة صاحب السمو الأمير المفدى ولأنفسنا ووطننا وأمتنا العربية والإسلامية بوفاة صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني، نستذكر بكل مشاعر التقدير والفخر والاعتزاز مسيرة حافلة بالعطاء، والبصمات الراسخة والإنجازات الكبيرة التي قدّمها الفقيد في خدمة دولة قطر وشعبها، وإسهاماته التي ستظل شاهدة في تاريخ قطر والأمتين العربية والإسلامية. رحم الله الأمير الوالد رحمة واسعة، وأسكنه فسيح جناته، وجزاه الله خير الجزاء عما قدّمه لوطنه وأمته وإنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون.

I was pleased to meet today in Singapore with H.E. Dr Tan See Leng, Minister for Manpower of the Republic of Singapore, together with a number of senior officials. We discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, expand areas of partnership, and exchange expertise in labour market policy, skills development, and investment in human capital.
