The cowardly attack on a Kashmir passenger bus in Haryana is a disgraceful assault on the idea of a secular India. Innocent travellers, including families and an elderly man who was injured, were targeted simply because their vehicle bore a Jammu & Kashmir number. These goons who hurl stones, smash windows, issue death threats and try to create fear between Indians from different regions are doing a grave disservice to the nation. They undermine unity, poison social harmony and insult the constitutional values that hold this country together. Such hate-driven hooliganism has no place in a civilised society. The perpetrators must be identified, arrested and prosecuted swiftly so that no Indian ever has to fear travelling freely in their own country. Justice delayed is justice denied.

The projects include footpath, drains, culverts and beautification from Dalgate to Brane-Nishat (Rs 1.68 crore), a new NTPHC block at Theed (Rs 40 lakh), and bridges and road works at Theed, Mulnar and Harwan (Rs 70 lakh).
Locals are elated after decades of waiting and have thanked the veteran leader for his consistent efforts.

The J&K Waqf Board has pushed for uniform Friday sermons at all mosques in the Union Territory (UT) and will become the first region in the country to adopt this mechanism to ensure the topics to be highlighted at religious places are pre-decided and approved by a committee of preachers.
