🔴A second F-4 launched around 1:40 AM. Its crew reportedly acquired a radar return at 27 nautical miles, with the object appearing to maintain its distance as the jet closed in.
🔴The pilot, Parviz Jafari, later described intensely flashing blue, green, red and orange lights on the object.
🔴Then, according to the report, a smaller luminous object separated from the main one and moved toward the fighter.
🔴Jafari attempted to fire an AIM-9 Sidewinder missile. The report states that his weapons-control panel failed and radio communications were lost at that moment.
🔴The smaller object reportedly moved around the aircraft as Jafari maneuvered, before returning toward the larger object.

🛸March 16, 1957. A 300-foot silver craft supposedly lands in a field in Alexandria, Virginia.
Two local police officers arrive. The door opens, and out steps a normal-looking man in a silver-and-gold jumpsuit. He smiles, waves, and says in perfect English: “I need to see the President.”
His name is Valiant Thor.
He claims to be from Venus, “the morning and evening star” of the Bible. According to the story, within hours he is in the Oval Office with President Eisenhower.
Thor says Earth has been watched for thousands of years, but the atomic bomb has forced his people to intervene. His “High Council,” a federation of many worlds, offers to help end war, hunger and disease if the nuclear powers agree to disarm.
Eisenhower supposedly declines. Humanity isn’t ready. It would ruin the economy.
Then the story gets even stranger. Thor allegedly remains at the Pentagon for three years, sharing advanced technology and demonstrating his supposedly indestructible “miracle garment,” which weighs just six ounces and can survive bullets, acid, lasers and diamond drills.
Photographs of Thor and his alleged crew, Don, Jill and Tanya eventually surface from a meeting at fellow contactee Howard Menger’s home.
Thor’s closest human confidant is Dr. Frank Stranges, a Christian minister who believed Jesus and the angels were extraterrestrial beings. According to Stranges, Thor’s real mission was not simply to give humanity advanced technology, but to return mankind to God. In exchange, humanity would be shown “the wonders of the universe.”
Stranges later claimed that he was poisoned, beaten and nearly killed on multiple occasions, only for Thor to appear with antidotes or healing abilities. In 1968, he said Thor took him aboard a massive saucer near San Felipe, Mexico, where he encountered interiors resembling a luxury resort, with living, cloud-like floors and virtually no right angles.
Stranges published the entire story in Stranger at the Pentagon in 1967, claiming Thor’s spacecraft, Victor One, was still cloaked near Lake Mead and that thousands of people including government employees knew the truth.
It is one of the strangest contactee stories of the 20th century: Venusian space brothers, biblical extraterrestrials, Pentagon meetings, secret technology and a message of spiritual transformation.
But what actually holds up?
The photographs exist. The book exists. But important parts of the story surrounding Thor’s identity and Stranges’ academic credentials don’t withstand scrutiny. And the basic plot bears an uncanny resemblance to The Day the Earth Stood Still, released just six years earlier, with a heavy dose of evangelical Christianity layered on top.
Whether Valiant Thor was ever anything more than a character in one of UFOlogy’s strangest myths, the message attributed to him remains surprisingly simple:
Be kind. Keep an open mind. Serve one another.
The story may tell us nothing about Venusians.
But it tells us a great deal about what some people in the early UFO era hoped extraterrestrial contact would mean.
Not just advanced technology.
A different way of being human.

A famous piece of NASA footage has circulated for years with a much bigger claim attached to it: that NASA tried to suppress video showing UFOs moving near the Space Shuttle.
The footage is often connected to the Ulysses mission, but that’s where things get interesting.
🔴 Ulysses was launched aboard Space Shuttle Discovery in 1990, but the spacecraft itself did not carry a conventional camera. Its mission was to study the Sun’s environment using instruments measuring solar wind, magnetic fields, cosmic rays and other particles.
🔴 The famous footage actually comes from a different Discovery mission - STS-48, flown in September 1991.
🔴 In the video, several bright objects appear to move across the screen, sometimes seeming to change direction dramatically. The original audio from mission control makes the footage even more intriguing.
🔴 UFO researchers have interpreted the movement as evidence of intelligently controlled objects, while NASA scientists have argued that the objects were ice particles illuminated by the Shuttle’s thrusters.
So was this really a “NASA-banned UFO video”?
