They think a great deal of their position; don't let one of them ever persuade you he doesn't, for if you were to proceed on that basis you'd be pulled up very short."

Terfs are abusers and predators. I’m glad we are going to start imprisoning abusers and predators.
If you took out one hour from scrolling each day and allocated it to reading, you’d read about 25-30 books a year.
All people have to learn is the difference between "I find this convention in writing personally annoying, and here are my reasons" and " fiction is bad today because people are using this convention and they don't understand literature's basic purpose."
If you're weird in a certain way people will find you annoying and be abusive to you. So gradually, you become kind of an introvert to stay away from the abuse. But then they'll call you weird because you're an introvert and say you're antisocial.
The thing that bothers me about the "should you criticize fanfic writers" debate is those on the "no" side are treating it like first time guitar players being yelled at for not being Eddie van Halen, when it's more like " it will sound better if you're actually in tune."

Laugh all you want but Cheesecake Factories helped this country win WW2. In the 1940s, 23% of the adult population worked in these factories, and the US produced 300 to 400 million tons of Cheesecake per year. We used to build things.
Through an odd accident, I ended up working in tech support for a while, and let me tell you if you think Tech Support people think everyone else is stupid for not understanding their secret code, you're absolutely correct.
Ohh, in case i'm not being clear here. I clearly didn't think that. But ohh, yes, all my colleagues did.

Saw (2004) is a mystery movie. The sequels turned it into a gore franchise and everyone forgot.

It's funny how men will demonstrate oppositional defiant disorder towards women for having any authority considering how submissive they are to male authority figures. Misogyny can be amusing, men just don't realize they're the punchline.
