The WNBA struck gold with Caitlin Clark and then started fighting the current.
My new article examines Clark, Sophie Cunningham, DiJonai Carrington, race, identity, flagrant fouls and the media’s role in turning basketball into a culture war.

Since Angel is taking a step back this offseason to focus on herself, I thinks it’s a good time to drop this gem.
The more you actually look at Angel Reese’s numbers, the more ridiculous this entire SUPERSTAR narrative really becomes.
We’re talking about a player who’s essentially the WNBA version of Andre Drummond, since we’re love this NBA comparison thing so much.
An ELITE rebounder, no one’s taking that. One of the best rebounders the league has ever seen. But outside of rebounding, what exactly are we celebrating here? You cannot point to one single thing.
A post player shooting 51% TRUE SHOOTING despite taking the overwhelming majority of her shots around the basket. For context, that’s ABYSMAL, anyone else wouldn’t see the floor with that. UNPLAYABLE.
An 18% turnover rate from someone who isn’t even responsible for running an offense.
We’re watching a player struggle with some of the most BASIC aspects of offensive basketball, yet somehow she’s being marketed and discussed as one of the premier talents in women’s basketball. Her game is a CONFLICT OF INTEREST.
If you stripped away the celebrity, the social media following, and the manufactured superstar narrative, nobody would even be having these conversations.
Angel Reese is an elite rebounder with significant offensive limitations. That’s not hate. That’s an evaluation.
The gap between the player Angel Reese ACTUALLY is and the player her supporters desperately want everyone to believe she is might be the biggest disconnect in the entire WNBA.
😂😂
Charles Barkley roasts Shaquille O’Neal over his billionaire claims, joking that he did his research and discovered Shaq is “only” worth $700 million
Barkley tells Shaq to stop claiming the extra $300 million, insisting that the difference between $700 million and $1 billion is no small lie. It is another round of their trademark banter on Inside the NBA, with Barkley finding yet another way to take a shot at his longtime co-host.
Now that the season is over, can we finally admit that the @WNBA and its media cronies manufactured the hell out of Angel Reese’s season? DPOY, All-Defensive First Team, AND All-WNBA Second Team? Her actual impact never justified that level of recognition. She arguably wasn’t even the best defender on her own team.
The media creates narratives, then hands out accolades to validate them. We see similar shit with Rudy Gobert. Frontcourt players collect defensive awards while perimeter defenders are tasked with guarding the opposition’s best players night after night. Somehow, the guys doing the dirty work get overlooked. It’s wild how much reputation and media narratives dictate these awards instead of actual defensive assignments and impact.
Warriors fans love talking cash money shit about Joe Lacob, meanwhile, another banner is going up in the rafters. The Valkyries arguably have the best head coach in the Bay Area across all major sports, while the Warriors might have the worst. The irony is hilarious.

Another ZERO turnovers game for Kuminga with 3 assists. JK is showing a variety of skill sets this season and proving he's a lock down defender.

Best Defensive Rating In The 2026-27 NBA Regular Season (Min. 3 Games & 30.0 MPG) :
1. Scottie Barnes — 90.3
2. Rudy Gobert — 93.2
3. Joel Embiid — 96.5
4. Jonathan Kuminga — 96.6
5. Jaylen Brown — 96.8
6. Anthony Edwards — 97.2
7. Jalen Williams — 97.4
8. Victor Wembanyama — 97.7
8. Jaden McDaniels — 97.7
8. Kris Dunn — 97.7
Shoutout to the young bull Jonathan Kuminga! Picking up right where he left off in ATL. It all starts on the defensive end, where he’s been an absolute menace. But what’s really standing out is how elite his ball-handling and decision-making have been. The game is slowing down for him, and it shows.
Kuminga is ranked #3 in defensive net points, and the only shocking part is that he isn’t #1. He’s been the best defensive player I’ve watched to start this season. His versatility, ability to guard multiple positions, and willingness to take on the toughest assignments have been elite. Barnes isn’t on Kuminga’s level defensively, and I don’t think it’s particularly close.
Cooper Flagg is in the top ten in both offensive and defensive Net Points.
He hasn't had a negative game yet in four games.
It's early in the season and in his career, but those are good signs.
