Airport apologised to author detained by staff bbc.in/4liAp3L

A Jewish Israeli author says he was detained for 90 minutes at London Luton Airport.
Why?
For wearing a t-shirt that read “End Jew Hatred” and carrying a sign about the victims of Hamas’ October 7 attacks.
Alon Penzel was travelling to Tel Aviv after a book tour when airport security stopped him. He was carrying an A3 sign displaying the title of his book, ‘Testimonies Without Boundaries, Israel: October 7th 2023’, which he had used as part of his promotional display.
According to Mr Penzel, a security guard called the sign “offensive”. Three more guards and two police officers then arrived, and he claimed he was accused of protesting. Despite explaining that he was simply walking through the airport, he says he was detained and questioned for around 90 minutes.
Mr Penzel later described the experience as “pure antisemitism”.
In an apology, Luton Airport said his experience “fell below the customer service standards we expect” and confirmed it has now introduced enhanced staff training.

Luton Airport enhances staff training after ‘antisemitic’ targeting of Israeli author

Luton Airport in the UK has issued an apology and is overhauling its staff training after Jewish Israeli author Alon Penzel was detained and mistreated by antisemitic workers.
Alon was carrying a sign featuring the name of his book, Testimonies Without Boundaries, Israel: October 7th 2023, for a promotional event, which airport guards told him was "offensive."
The guard found it so offensive, in fact, that they called the police.
Several airport security guards and two police officers rounded Alon up and interrogated him for 90 minutes.
Now the airport is retraining its staff. Not sure why "treating Jews like human beings" wasn't part of training in the first place, but, hey, it's progress.

Almost immediately after thousands of Palestinian terrorists invaded southern Israel on October 7, 2023, conspiracy theorists began rewriting history, falsely accusing Israel of killing its own citizens and spreading lies to whitewash Palestinian terrorism.
As fringe falsehoods often go mainstream, Israeli author @alonpenzel refuses to stay silent.
He authored a book, Testimonies Without Boundaries, Israel: October 7th 2023, which recounts in chilling detail the savagery of that day.
