You took their votes for granted, you never showed up, @scott_colom put in the work, relentlessly, day after day. He met your voters where they lived, even walking the line at a Trump rally. This is a bright new day for the state of Mississippi, and you have an option here to contribute to that bright future by a gracious concession, as @SenatorCollins did in Maine when the result was clear, without waiting for a formal call. You could spare the taxpayers of Mississippi the burden of a dragged out count and just concede. That would be the right thing to do. Just congratulate your opponent for an epic campaign and leave with dignity. What is your path to victory? He asked you that, and you owe him an answer; you owe the people of Mississippi an answer. NEW: Sen. Chris Murphy has been discharged from the hospital, per a new statement from the Connecticut Democrat
Murphy will miss "the next several weeks of votes in the Senate as he continues his recovery"
Dr. Jose Suarez, chief of neurosciences critical care at The Johns Hopkins Hospital says in a statement that Murphy "experienced a small hemorrhagic stroke. He has shown tremendous progress, and at the current rate of improvement, we expect that he will make a full recovery following rehabilitation."
