Looks like there’s a $4B in CA for parks and wildlife on the ballot. Prop 68 xitter.gq/altusfws/status/971402…
Are there any ‘18 ballot initiatives that will benefit the environment? This seems pretty important, especially as the administration dismantles Enviro regulation.

Do I have this right? The president is declaring a national emergency in order to take money from the federal counter-narcotics budget to build a wall along the border as part of his plan to stop drugs that a wall won't really stop? nytimes.com/2019/01/22/nyreg…

If reports are true that one of the people Don Jr. called before/after the Trump Tower meeting in June 2016 was real estate developer Howard Lorber, it should be noted that Lorber has extensive biz dealings in Russia and brought Trump to Moscow in 1996. axios.com/donald-trump-jr-bl…

So between NYT and WaPo, we have learned, in the past 24 hours, that Trump was the subject of an FBI counterintelligence investigation for working on behalf of Russia and that he attempted to stop U.S. officials from having a record of his conversations with Russia's president.

I can see DOJ indicting Trump after he leaves office, but if they believe he committed a crime, they can’t simply wait and assume he isn’t re-elected. Has to be some mechanism for accountability now or their “can’t indict a sitting president” opinion completely falls apart.
Prosecutors have examined the statute of limitations on the campaign finance violations and believe charges could be brought against Trump if he is not re-elected. ⁦@npfandos⁩ ⁦@maggieNYT⁩ @nytmike⁩ nyti.ms/2zMa2xh?smid=nytcore…

Asha talking about collusion, FARA, Conspiracy. Puts these into perspective. Helpful. Collusion is the act of agreeing to do something to achieve a desired result. When it’s with foreign powers is a crime called conspiracy. I got it now Asha @AshaRangappa_ Thank you. 🙏

Which means it’s up to them to make the demand stick. They have the leverage, bc McConnell needs their votes. Question is whether they use it. – at Coral Springs, FL
In sum, Flake is now suggesting he won't vote to confirm Kavanaugh without a one-week FBI probe into Dr. Ford's allegations. That gives nice cover to other hold-outs, Collins and Murkowski. Up to McConnell to grant that week of delay, which he def doesn't want to do.
