A final wish from Bollywood actor Mushtaq Ahmed Khan is being widely shared online and it is deeply moving.
According to reports, his will stated that he had already given his three daughters their full Islamic share of his property.
He reportedly left the remaining property to his wife and two sons, while setting aside one kanal of land as a trust for a mosque, with the wish that a mosque be built there.
The will was reportedly handed to Imam Muhammad Owais of Bilal Mosque in Mumbai to be read before the funeral.
His eldest son is also reported to have said that after his father’s burial, he would lay the foundation of the mosque and build it with his own money so that the reward would continue to reach his father.
A lasting legacy is not always measured in wealth. Sometimes, it is measured by what continues to benefit others after we are gone.

Carl Jung believed life truly begins at 40, viewing the first four decades as "research"—a preparatory phase focused on building an ego, establishing a career, and meeting societal expectations. The second half of life, starting around 40, is for inward exploration, authenticity, and fulfilling one’s true self (individuation) rather than pursuing external validation.

The evidence is clear: deactivating Facebook and Instagram improves our emotional state.
🔸This study confirms what we see in clinical practice: deactivating social media leads to a measurable boost in happiness and a reduction in anxiety.
🔸Whether it is the break from cortisol-inducing social comparisons or the reduction in news-induced stress, the brain benefits significantly from the silence.
🔸The emotional gains are significant for those over 35 and young women, respectively.
🔸Sometimes the most effective 'prescription' for mental well-being is simply clicking 'deactivate.'
🔸A digital break is not just a trend; it is a necessary reset for emotional regulation and brain health.

Your blood pressure at 30 can decide your heart attack at 50.
A major 2026 study just confirmed what we often underestimate:
BP is not just a number, it is a long-term risk signal.
1. Even small increases matter
In a 24-year follow-up of young adults:
🔸Every +10 mmHg systolic BP was associated with 22% higher CVD risk
🔸Every +5 mmHg diastolic BP was associated with 20% higher risk
2. “Normal” is not as safe as you think
🔸Risk starts rising from ~120/80 (not 140/90).
🔸Earlier studies (Framingham, CARDIA) show a continuous relationship. The higher the BP, the higher the risk (there is no clear safe threshold).
3. It is a lifetime risk, not a 10-year risk
🔸Young adults often get reassured: “Your risk is low.” That is misleading.
🔸Low 10-year risk does not mean low lifetime risk. 🔸Damage begins silently decades earlier.
4. Stepwise risk escalation
This study showed that higher BP category was associated with progressively higher CVD events
5. Diastolic BP matters more than we think (in young)
🔸Elevated diastolic BP showed strong association with future CVD
🔸Diastolic BP often reflects early vascular resistance + sympathetic overactivity.
🔸This is especially relevant in younger populations (including Indians).
6. Same risk for men AND women
Contrary to older beliefs, BP-related risk is similar across sexes. There is no “protective advantage” among women, if BP is high.
7. What is the safest zone?
🔸People with BP <120/70 had the lowest long-term risk of cardiovascular diseases.
🔸That is your real target, not just “below hypertension”
8. This is not new, but the association is now stronger than ever
Multiple studies confirm that higher BP is associated with higher CVD risk. The risk starts early in life and tracks over decades. Hypertension is a cumulative exposure disease
9. What does this mean clinically?
We need to stop thinking:
❌ “Treat only when BP >140/90”
✔ Start risk awareness much earlier
🔸Because by the time SBP crosses 140, vascular damage is already underway
10. The real takeaway
🔸Blood pressure is not a snapshot, it is a trajectory. 🔸What matters is how early it rises and how long it stays elevated.
✅If you are in your 20s–40s, SBP 120–129 is not “normal reassurance”, it is an early warning. Act early to prevent irreversible disease later.

Children who are settled abroad, if they have no visa issues and if their finances are OK, it will be great if they can come and visit their elderly parents once in a couple of years, if not more....they need not come for months , perhaps a week is enough.
Elderly parents won't often tell, but they miss their children, they pine for them...
Just seeing them for a week to 10 days will give them the mental and emotional strength to go on for another 365 days.
Physical connection >>> electronic connection.
A child in Delhi may take the same time to visit his parents in Kanyakumari if travelling by train when compared to a child coming from USA. But for parents, a child in Delhi feels nearer.

The concept of "teenager" is a modern invention.
For most of human history, a boy of 13 was already a man, apprenticed in a trade or fighting in a war.
George Washington was a professional surveyor at 16.
Alexander Hamilton managed a trading company at 14.
In medieval Europe, noble boys could be pages at 7 and squires by 14.
In Rome, a boy put on the "toga of manhood" at 14.
The idea that an 18 year-old is "still figuring things out" would have been incomprehensible to our ancestors.
I believe this is why we think teenagers are so troubled. They are men and women stuck in a society that treats them as children. Of course they are going to "rebel".
We should give them more responsibility and expect much more of them.

“LDL is a hoax?” ?!
Let me tell you about two heart attacks from this morning.
Case 1
👨🦱 30-year-old man. (Yes. Thirty.)
• Non-smoker
• No diabetes
• Physically active - had chest followed by unconsciousness while playing cricket and Presented with an Anterior Wall MI , ‘widow maker’ heart attack.
lipid profile?
➡️ LDL: 226 mg/dL (Normal at this age: <100)
Angiogram:
⚠️ Critical stenosis in the largest coronary artery. LAD ( arrow pic)
IVUS (intravascular ultrasound):
🧈 Massive lipid-rich plaque in the vessel wall.( video)
He underwent a successful primary angioplasty.
Case 2
Another gentleman.45 years
Major heart attack.
➡️ LDL: 188 mg/dL
Same story. Same pathology. Same preventable risk.
These are NOT rare cases.
This is everyday story of Cathlabs in India.
Dont believe in SM noise like
“Statins are a pharma conspiracy.”
“Cholesterol doesn’t matter.”
Dear Indians , we are genetically and metabolically primed for premature heart disease.
A simple lipid profile can prevent catastrophe.
❤️ 5 Most Important Preventable Risk Factors
1️⃣ Obesity & Insulin Resistance
(High triglycerides, borderline/high HbA1c)
2️⃣ Elevated LDL
⚠️ Especially >160 mg/dL
3️⃣ Smoking
4️⃣ Untreated Hypertension
5️⃣ Chronic Stress
Some of these are straightforward to treat:
✔️ LDL → Statins save lives
✔️ Hypertension → Appropriate medications
✔️ Smoking → Cessation works
The Hard Part?
Obesity & insulin resistance ; complex, lifestyle-driven, culturally influenced, and often confusing due to conflicting diet narratives.
But ignoring LDL is the easier of all.
🫀 Bottom Line
If your LDL is high, treat it.
If your BP is high, control it.
If you smoke, quit.
Prevention is far easier than opening an artery at 2 AM. PreventionIsBetterThanPrimaryPCI
