Kazakhstan's Golden Steppe is a vast grassland, extending for miles.
It is also home to 2024 Earthshot Prize Finalist, @AltynDala which has successfully saved the critically endangered Saiga Antelope from extinction, one of the largest conservation projects globally.
This beautiful short film captures the heart of our work - thanks to the brilliant Silverback and Earthshot Prize teams.
It reflects countless hours of planning, fieldwork, and negotiations - all for one goal: protecting and restoring our wild landscapes for future generations.
The @AltynDala has saved the Saiga Antelope from extinction. In 2003, there were only 20,000 roaming the Golden Steppe of Kazakhstan. Now, there are 2.86 million! But this is only the start. Next, up: wild horses. Bring it on.
