The crazy thing is: Postiz itself is open source π
So it doesn't make sense to build another open source clone of it!
Introducing Postiz-cheap π
Many are paying $99/mo for Postiz just to schedule content
That's $1188 a year. Forever. Crazy expensive
So I built a free open-source alternative
No subscriptions, no lock-in, no limits
Have fun π₯³

People build tools themselves when they feel they can also sell them to others. So they kill two birds with one stone.
This is just a maker syndrome.
Normies will just buy whatever tool they find useful and call it a day.

The biggest competitive advantage when building a SaaS is *caring* about your customers more than your competitors.
Based on that foundation, all the other success metrics should follow.
SaaS pricing will increasingly look like hosting pricing. And that can still be enough for makers to make a living.
You could self-host a Datafast clone for $20/month.
Or pay another provider the same amount and free up your time and mental energy to build something else
The age of outrageous SaaS prices is gone. π€·ββοΈ
Introducing Datafast π (But for free)
Yes, if you don't want to pay even $1 doaller for any web analytics software again
It's open-source, so you can deploy in 2 minutes (at $0 cost)
