Diana hesitated.
She knew how deadly Ivy’s kisses were. How deadly they could be.
If she let herself fall into this trap…
But the sword had already clattered to the ground at Ivy’s feet.
And before she could second guess herself, she leaned in and let Ivy’s lips meet hers.
Diana took a step back, regarding Ivy with her determined, Amazonian gaze.
“Taller than you.”
She replied, eying the other from head to toe.
The words she wanted to say were on the tip of her tongue, but she hesitated. Before blurting out.
“Did you prepare pheromones for-
She’d never say, but she was. A deeply buried part of Diana desperately hoped this was a trap, pheromones and all.
“You know what it is I do, villain.
I needn’t explain that much to you.”
She didn’t pull back, but gazed down at her with an intense frown on her face.
She hasn’t attacked, so the Amazon has no reason to do anything.
Yet.
She allows the other to lower her blade. Ivy is taller than expected. Not as tall as Diana, but that was to be expected.
“Why?”
She turned her eyes as best she could to look at the rose.
“What’s this?”
“I wouldn’t believe a word of it.”
The sound of metal sliding across leather sounded as the Amazon drew her blade at the others approach.
The sound of Ivy’s feet were muffled briefly by the Amazons combat preparations, then soon returned.
“I can’t say the same. You’ve grown out of control, and though the Batman won’t agree with me, you’ve been allowed too much free rein.”
The Amazon called out, circling, eyes tracking every shadow and trace of movement.
“It’s time your games came to an end.”
Diana isn’t here to entertain her, and she is primarily Batman’s nemesis, no?
But if she insists on causing trouble, then perhaps the Amazon should attempt to deal with her.
Without worrying about whether she’s susceptible to her pheromones or not.~
…why would she want to do that? For what purpose? And bait her how?
Unfortunately for Diana, she’s honor bound to deal with criminals so drawing her in wouldn’t be difficult.
