"Troy Jackson’s record on gay rights is, simply, bad. In 2009, Jackson was one of just two Democratic state senators out of over 20 to vote against legalizing same-sex marriage in Maine. This was a moment where elected officials from both sides of the aisle were coming around to gay rights. Jackson was an outlier, and he failed to keep up."
