I’m going to need you all to show the fuck up to support #Wildwood, then tell your friends and family. There’s no reason this movie should be tracking this low.
BO Weekend Estimates per @DEADLINE
#Clayface 23-25M/great for a 44M movie
#YouCanSeeEverything 19M+/+22%/epic!
#Wildwood 11M+/hopefully WOM kicks in
#StreetFighter 9.5M/-79%/expected
#Wicker 6M+/great for a 10M pic!
#KlaraAndTheSun 0.9M/onward.
Lots of potential for increases.

I love weekends like this one.
You have an R-rated body horror from DC. A 3-hour documentary that people can’t stop talking about. A tremendous dark fantasy from the wizards at LAIKA. A whimsical romantic fable that’s light and just lovely to experience, and a fun cat-and-mouse thriller featuring the great Helen Mirren.
All different, all Certified Fresh. Good stuff to watch no matter what your vibe is. When we’re complaining about Hollywood and complaining about how nothing feels fresh or unique, let’s remember weekends like this still exist. And let’s get out there to support these films so weekends like this continue to exist in the future.
#WILDWOOD is the best fantasy film in at least a decade. A masterful and extraordinary feat of stop-motion. Filled with magic, wonder, and discovery. The artistry here is absolutely incredible!

Another great trailer. I saw the film at the world premiere at TIFF and loved it.

Everything and more.
You Can See Everything is the highest rated movie in @letterboxd history, the biggest doc opening in decades, and one of the best reviewed movies of all time.
Expanding to more theaters nationwide this week.
I can’t stop thinking about this damn film.
I feel like I could write an entire dissertation or something just with my thoughts and analysing everything that happened.
What an incredible piece of art!

Just to be clear, I am not leaving The Batman Part II. I am profoundly grateful to Steven for coming to my aid during this challenging time to help me finish principal photography. Thank you to all for your concern and well wishes. 🦇

Who cares about it being a ‘boring’ choice?
Count me old fashioned but the BEST movie of the year should win BEST picture. Not anything else
