And just like that,
Bipolar depression.
-No desire to get out of bed, only feeling able to once it turns dark
- Taking an exceptional amount to even get up to do mundane tasks
- Hygiene going out of the window. Ashamed to say I’ve not washed for 4 days nor brushed my teeth 1/2

This is literally crazy and hair-raising! 🤯⁉️
Hair colour is *NOT* one of the 9 criteria for a diagnosis of EUPD to be made! (I’m assuming this is the personality disorder being referred to here).

For years, we have worked together from fighting for pet-friendly rental homes and stronger fireworks legislation, to supporting cat and dog owners fleeing domestic abuse.
Now, we are taking things to the next level, because together we are even stronger.

👉 A Life-changing question: Where has your mind been living today? Let me know in the comments.
Most people don’t realise their mind is elsewhere. They just notice the emotional fallout. A few hours spent worrying will leave you with some pretty uncomfortable anxiety. A few hours churning over the most painful of memories will leave you with a sadness that is heavy to carry through the rest of your day.
There is absolutely a place for focusing on the past and the future. But losing control of when and where your focus drifts to will cost you dearly when it comes to mental health.
👉 For more on this both my books have you covered. ‘Open When...’ was an instant No.1 Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller.. and I also cover some of this in my multi million copy bestseller, Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before?
Both available in over 40 languages.
The paperback has also just been released in the USA available in Target.

Have they not heard of ready meals?” Disabled people deserve better than having their support needs reduced to a sneer.
Knowing a microwave exists doesn’t remove the difficulties someone faces. If you want to debate disability support, start by listening to the people who need it.
I’ll be reporting this to Inclusion London’s Disability Media Action campaign. If you see harmful media coverage about disabled people, you can report it too:

👉 Important advice I share with people in therapy: being treated badly is not a sign that you need to give more. Yet that is exactly what so many of us do.
Have you ever given more and more to someone, hoping they would finally treat you the way you treat them? So many of us believe that if we keep trying, respect will follow. But respect is not something you can earn from someone who is not willing to give it.
Let me explain. There is often a good reason this is where we go first. Perhaps giving more and asking for less is what kept the peace growing up. Perhaps it is what we were taught love looks like. Either way, it worked at the time, and we tend to hold on to what once kept us safe. So when someone treats us badly, that old instinct kicks in, and we try harder.
But effort is not the problem. In relationships where respect is already there, effort matters a great deal. What it cannot do is create respect where there is none.
Protecting your worth does not have to be a fight. Often it starts quietly, with noticing what you have stopped asking for. And the question at the end of this video is one to sit with for a while.

I think this is a genius thing, and especially useful now. @DogsTrust have added a Sound Blanket to their website (link below), developed in collaboration with @SalfordUni. It uses acoustic science to mask the bangs of #fireworks and may calm dogs down. dogstrust.org.uk/dog-advice/…
