I’m on Twitter / X through a VPN in Dallas, Texas, following the midterm elections. I’m actually based in the Netherlands. And honestly, I’m absolutely stunned by the sheer scale of MAGA propaganda being shoved down Americans’ throats. It’s as if Elon Musk has shoved a billion-dollar funnel into the mouths of American voters and is force-feeding them a grotesque blend of oligarchic and fascist propaganda until all that comes out is Republican foie gras. The amount of Republican propaganda flooding your timeline is genuinely insane. 1. The so-called “America” account. At the very top of the #1 Trending Topics, you’ll find an advertisement from an account called “America”. Except it’s not America. It’s a Republican propaganda account, sporting a gold verification badge, designed to manipulate and indoctrinate American voters. 2. Open Twitter / X from Texas. A video automatically starts playing, portraying James Talarico as some kind of public enemy. Cheap, shameless political propaganda. Not a single word about his opponent, Ken Paxton. Just an endless stream of attacks on Talarico. Wonder why? Perhaps because Ken Paxton has quite a little history of his own: ●Alleged corruption involving wealthy donor Nate Paul. ●Abuse of public office. ●Alleged bribery. ●Securities fraud charges. ●Alleged obstruction of justice. ●Retaliation against whistleblowers. ●Firing employees who reported him to the FBI. ●Alleged misuse of taxpayer-funded resources. ●Alleged interference in law-enforcement investigations. ●Alleged preferential treatment of political donors. ●Undisclosed compensation for promoting a company’s stock. ●Employment assistance for a woman with whom he acknowledged having an affair. ●Impeachment by the Republican-controlled Texas House. ●Acquittal by the Texas Senate. ●A $6.6 million whistleblower settlement. ●Controversy over extensive travel and taxpayer-funded security expenses. Quite a résumé, isn’t it? 3. Fearmongering. Republicans are also pushing the narrative that if Democrats win, democracy itself will be doomed. Let that sink in for a moment. They’re telling Americans that voting for Democrats is somehow a vote against democracy. The irony is apparently completely lost on them. 4. Project 2025. And then there’s Project 2025. A detailed political blueprint for fundamentally reshaping the American federal government, concentrating executive power and dismantling longstanding institutional safeguards. Critics have warned that its proposals threaten democratic checks and balances and could pave the way for authoritarian rule. This isn’t some obscure conspiracy theory. Its ideas are already influencing and being implemented in American politics. 5. Try a little experiment. Google “James Talarico”. The first two results you’ll encounter are sponsored advertisements paid for by TEXAS PAC and MAGA Inc. Both pushing anti-Democratic messaging. (See attached screenshot.) This is what American voters are up against. An unprecedented propaganda machine, backed by billionaires, political PACs and a social media platform that has become an increasingly powerful vehicle for partisan messaging. And apparently, we’re supposed to believe this is all just about freedom of speech. America, you deserve better than this. Vote Blue. Vote Talarico. Vote for democracy. Vote for peace. For neighborliness. For tolerance. Vote against hate. Vote against polarization. Vote for your wallet. Vote to keep your freedom. Vote for inclusion ans tolerance. Vote James Talarico. Do what is needed for the future or yourself ánd your children. Like ❤️ and RT this please.

Ollie Bearman literally SWITCHED HOTELS in Malaysia because of a spider 😭🕷️ “I woke up at 2 in the morning and there was a spider right next to my head. I texted my team and told them, ‘I’m getting out of here, I’m not staying.’” He swatted it away, couldn’t find it… then got to the new hotel and was too scared to even open his suitcase in case the spider had come with him. 💀 Completely understandable.

Picked up a hitch-hiker. Seemed like a nice guy. After a few miles, he asked me if I wasn't afraid that he might be a serial killer? I told him that the odds of two serial killers being in the same car were extremely unlikely

Nike signed Messi when he was 14. They lost him over a few hundred dollars worth of tracksuits, a mistake now estimated at $10 billion in brand value. In 2005, Messi's father Jorge asked Nike for some extra tracksuits for his son, a routine request from the family of an 18-year-old who had just broken into Barcelona's first team. Nike's Iberian and South American offices both ignored it. He never got a reply. Adidas was paying attention. They offered around $1 million a year, and Nike refused to match because they didn't want a bidding war over a teenager. They were busy building their 2006 World Cup campaign around established stars. Once the Adidas deal leaked, Nike panicked and sued in Spanish court, claiming a binding contract. The judges found all Nike had was a "commitment letter" with no legal weight. Messi signed with Adidas in February 2006, and in 2017 they gave him a lifetime deal. So when he walks out at El Monumental on October 6 for his final Argentina match, in front of 84,000 people, the gold-lettered farewell jersey he revealed today will carry three stripes. Twenty years, 125 international goals, a World Cup, and every shirt sold along the way. All of it went to Adidas because someone at Nike didn't answer an email about tracksuits.

Norwegian researchers drove a Chinese EV into a mine to cut it off from the world. It still tried to call home. The project is called Project Lion Cage. Tor Indstøy, a Telenor security executive, monitored his own NIO ES8 SUV for years. About 90% of the connections he logged went to Chinese servers, even though NIO tells European customers their data is processed in Europe. The car carries cameras, microphones, location tracking and always-on modems. Most traffic is encrypted, so researchers could see where it went, not what it held. That is the gap. China's National Intelligence Law requires companies to assist state intelligence work. Nobody has proven spying. The question is who can be forced to hand over the feed. A separate test by Oslo transit operator Ruter found the Chinese Yutong bus could be reached by its maker through software updates, including battery and power systems. Yutong says it cannot control steering or brakes. Countries buying cheap Chinese EVs should expect to ask what else comes with the price. Is a lower sticker price worth putting a Chinese-controlled sensor on every street?
Norway 🇳🇴 put Chinese 🇨🇳 EVs in a mine so the cars could not “see” the outside world. 🚘 They still tried to call home. 🛜 Researchers found data moving with the car switched off. About 90% of the traffic from the car they tore down went to China. Same country now selling cheap EVs into Canada. 🇨🇦 Cameras. Mics. Always-on modems. PRC intelligence law. This is not a green-car debate. ♻️ It is a rolling sensor debate. 🛰️ Ottawa wants the cheap sticker price. Beijing wants the feed. #cdnpoli #CCP
