The ASIST training by @PAPYRUS_Charity was so valuable. The session offered such practical, compassionate guidance on recognising when someone may be struggling, creating safety, and having supportive, life-affirming conversations. The facilitators were incredible.

Yesterday with @FocusTrust1 leaders was inspiring. @LeadWOLimits spoke about #resilience, how we respond when it runs low, and staying true to our #values. One of mine is #family — so today was a family day, with ice-skating as a birthday treat for my daughter.

This morning I went back to @LeedsTrinity and discussed #safeguarding with trainees. Working on reception is Melanie, who was the cleaner in St Alban’s Hall when I was a trainee. Not sure I’d have stayed without her nurture and care. She helped my journey; her role was vital.

One foot in front of the other, watching nature go by as the world wakes up. I’ve recently prioritised family and work. This morning’s run was overdue, and greatly needed. Prioritising yourself lets you give more to your other priorities. #mentalhealth #wellbeing #selfcare

So impressive to see @WilsdenPrimary — a boy with autism has started a lunchtime club where children share their difficulties, strengths, questions and answers. They help each other to regulate and offer understanding, friendship and support. 💙 #Inclusion #AutismAcceptance

I remember this like it was yesterday. It demonstrates the value of inter-generational projects. It also sums up my beautiful daughter. Always happy chatting away; she still talks about Dot. Today we go to look at secondary schools. Time moves fast. Don’t waste a day.

Looking around secondary schools for daughter’s application deadline of the 31st. Best part so far, a school declaring everything they do wonderfully, only for the pupils to say it doesn’t normally happen.
