REPEAT: The KJV translated precisely what Paul wrote… The NIV CHANGES this … repeat CHANGES this to “faith IN Christ,” a MAJOR DOCTRINAL Distinction I pray you can see IF you’re not blind in accordance with Isaiah 6 and Matthew 13 KJV…. So kindly speak the truth and tell me: Why did the NIV change the genitive? Do you know what the “genitive” means here in this context? Can you truthfully explain the difference in the genitive use here, ESPECIALLY switching PRONOUNS and why this makes a HUGE difference??? Because this is what it’s all about, isn’t it, Darren? The NIV says “do your best.” “Rightly dividing” becomes “correctly handles.” The modern version softens a command to diligent study into a suggestion of effort. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” Key difference and significance: The Hebrew of Isaiah 14:12 is helel ben-shachar (“shining one, son of the dawn”), a rare term often linked to Venus (the morning star). The KJV uses (“light-bearer”) and treats it as a proper name (“Lucifer”). This is Satan (or the king of Babylon as a type of Satan’s fall).The NIV (and most modern versions) renders it descriptively as “morning star.” Revelation 22:16 uses similar language for Jesus (“bright and morning star” / “bright Morning Star”). 2. Psalm 12:6–7 KJV: “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” NIV: “And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times. You, LORD, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked.” Key differences:The KJV’s “them” in verse 7 is widely understood by KJV advocates as referring back to “the words of the LORD” in verse 6, supporting the doctrine of the preservation of Scripture. We have to understand Grammar basics of anaphoric reference to understand that God preserves his WORD forever... And any bible student knows this is only the TIP of the Proverbial Iceberg.. REPENT!
