What an absolutely stunning mushroom this gorgeous wrinkled Peach is.Taken this morning. – at Brampton, England
Lots of lovely mosses and lichens on show on my walk yesterday morning.
Juniper Moss with accompanying Oak Moss and Rim Lichens all growing on an Oak tree branch.
Tiny Orange Mosscaps...the rabbit droppings give a great sense of scale...photographed this morning at my local NR.
Another image from way back, when it was first posted in 2012 strangely it received zero likes.
Not that its about likes, but who doesn't love a SEO...
Due to work getting in the way I've not been able to get out with the camera...so here's the very first image I posted on TwitX.
A Little Owl sat on a post...none of that set up, baited nonsense...just a wild bird and lots of patience.
Lots of good Robin images on show this morning, so I'll add to them with the very friendly Fairburn one.

Fly 🪰 on fly agaric :)
Been on the look out for local Amanita muscaria for the last few weeks and today finally found some!
Such an iconic toadstool added bonus of a fly on top. – at Leeds, England
A tiny fungi today...possible Pleated Inkcap but that's just a guess due to how small it was.
I'll leave it up to your imagination as to what it was growing on 😉
Lots of great Lichens about at the moment...I believe this could be Oak Moss...looking through my new guide it looks pretty close.
More fungi and if you can help with the ID that would be appreciated.
Oak Milkcap or Brown Roll Rim are my first thoughts, but quite possibly something else.
Managed a couple of hours yesterday morning out in the rain looking for Waxcaps, but came up empty handed so more searching is needed.
What I did find was copious amounts of pony poop and lots of Snowy Inkcaps growing on it, so not a totally wasted morning.

Just had my possible Splendid Waxcaps (right set of pics) confirmed which is exciting! Even more exciting the left pics which I identified as Scarlet (but weren’t quite right for) have now been identified as Hygrocybe neomarchii which I’d been wanting to see!😀❤️ #mushroommonday

Interesting behaviour from this Smooth Newt (Lissotriton vulgaris) in the garden earlier, which appeared to feign rigor mortis upon discovery under its pondside rock 💚🍃
