Of course the Mayor’s committee on Market Street is going to make the miraculous announcement that there should be residential housing on the vacant lots and the properties that Comcast now owns. Telegraphing the obvious just proves what a waste of time that planning group is.
First they come for the junk fees, next comes rent control, then comes government grocery stores, then comes full government intervention into private property. Philly is not far behind NYC with these proposals. Be forewarned it’s coming soon
Philadelphia schools have been involved in indoctrinating students with false information and now Watlington is playing dumb and turning a blind eye. The school board never believes what is happening under their watch. 543 pages of evidence in this report just from Philly
🚨 NEW REPORT: Antisemitism isn't just happening in America's classrooms. It's being written into the curriculum. Committee Republicans' investigations into school districts in Philadelphia and Berkeley, along with the nation's largest teachers union, NEA, uncovered antisemitic materials in classroom curricula, troubling conduct by educators, and failures to adequately address antisemitism.
Jewish students deserve classrooms free from antisemitism—not schools that perpetuate it.

Tonight, we march together with heavy hearts to honor Police Officer Shane Seiber - a husband, father, and our brother. As we gather for his viewing and prepare to say our final farewell tomorrow, we stand beside his family. Tonight and always.
This is special one for me. I’m on a daily text chain with my friend Tyler, my sister, and another of our GA classmates. @TylerKepner is one of the best baseball writers in America who gets to live out his childhood dream writing about the game. I can’t wait for the opening

Not a far fetched conversation
Ward Leader calls City Council Member
Ward Leader “I need job for a someone on my block”
City Council Member “Are they black or white?”
Ward Leader “white”
City Council Member “ok, let me call the Will’s office and see what’s available”

Nobody wants to change the system, cause the system works for politicians. Asking for any changes is Dead on Arrival. This was tried in 2010 and the same structural racial issues still exist in Philly. Saying it out loud and asking for changes will get your branded is a racist.
I had to go to MSB to renew a license. I need tax clearance first. What was the problem? An outstanding balance on my condo I sold in 2021. They have the deed and still charged me. Also needed a filings for 2025 BIRT with a zero income return. Paperwork disaster is normal at MSB
The ban on skilled gaming machines is good. I think it’s positive that they are being removed. “Skilled gaming” is a euphemism / BS in the current age of the computer gambling and is just as bad as the proliferation of other gambling platforms. Kudos for not making a new tax
It’s no wonder why our kids can’t read or write.
“in order to create systemic change, we must change the way that people raise children.”
Its framework has already been piloted in FOUR Philadelphia public elementary schools: Adaire, Vare-Washington, Kearny and Spring Garden.
REVEALED: Preschool teachers were offered training on preparing children for “a lifetime of justice work.”
The workshop was literally called:
“Nurturing Future Activists.”
Advertised at an April 2026 Pennsylvania summit for educators teaching PRESCHOOL through second grade, it promised classroom ideas teachers could implement immediately.
The same summit promoted “Radical Morning Meeting” training from Philly Children’s Movement.
Here’s how that organization describes its mission:
“in order to create systemic change, we must change the way that people raise children.”
Its framework has already been piloted in FOUR Philadelphia public elementary schools: Adaire, Vare-Washington, Kearny and Spring Garden.
The group traces its origins to a children’s march supporting Black Lives Matter. Its event history includes protests against Moms for Liberty.
Then there’s Rutgers.
A university-produced curriculum names the group as a partner and includes a third-grade unit called:
“Becoming an Activist for Racial Justice.”
Activities include creating chants, songs and protest signs.
The curriculum asks teachers:
“Am I engaging students in activism and taking action in their schools and communities?”
Found this book in a church flea market in Newtown Square this weekend. Great little book. Your Jewish neighbors have been in South Philly for a long time. My grandfather was born in South Philly in 1912. Just saying we have been here a long time.
Netivot is the sister city of Philadelphia in Israel. The city is only a few miles from the Gaza border as was one of first cities Hamas tried to attack. It has received considerable $$ from the Philly Jewish community which helped in the defense on 10/7.

I have watched the best offensive lineman ever. Best Right Tackle ever. Better OL than Jason Peters, better than John Runyan. Better than Tre Thomas, Better than Jason Kelce. Lane Johnson anchored the best group of a generation. Thank you @LaneJohnson65 It was a pleasure watching
Love him or Hate him, this is still a great plug for Philly.
They are cooking the books and even the teachers and principals are calling it out. While Immigration is a small problem with enrollment, Parents realize that the education their kids are receiving suck and they are moving for better options. This is fraud by the School Board
