I wrote books about Manchester United in the 70s, 80s & 90s. Thought it was about time I got stuck into the noughties one. I've been meeting the players and speaking to them about a remarkable time at MUFC. You can pre-order here. linktr.ee/BringOnUnited

Much made of the top managers from a tiny bit of the Basque Country, but what of the players (three on the Ballon d'Or list tonight) plus managers like Cesc Fabregas from the towns and villages north of Barcelona. thenationalnews.com/sport/20…

"Sell United and f*k off home" sing MUFC fans, the only good thing about the club right now. And it's right. The Glazers have made their money many times over for 21 years. Fans never wanted it and that takeover should never have been allowed. Do the right thing: sell up and go.

MUFC’s under 17s went to Liverpool last night. Premier League Cup. Already qualified having won first two games. So a younger team went, 15s & 16s. 0-3 down at half time - not a surprise. Yet attitude and performance was spot on. Came out and scored three in second half. 3-3

I’m sick of United being everybody else’s punchbag, sick of our name justifying even greater elation when rivals beat the club I love. How the mighty have fallen. And that performance was an affront to the name of Manchester United. For @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7714272…
