Belfast Castle/ Dreamer Christmas card coming soon. Keep your eyes peeled 👀All profits @WomensAidNI 💜
Although Millie loves the modern glamour of Belfast’s art deco buildings, there’s an older building she’s been enchanted with for as long as she can remember. 1/

In honour of Sir Patrick Stewart’s passing, here are my top ten episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation:
1. The Inner Light (S5 Ep. 25)
2. Tapestry (S6 Ep. 15)
3. The Measure of a Man (S1 Ep. 9)
4. Darmok (S5 Ep. 2)
5. The Drumhead (S4 Ep. 21)
6. The Pegasus (S7 Ep. 12)
7. I, Borg (S5 Ep. 23)
8. Who Watches the Watchers (S3 Ep. 4)
9. Ensign Ro (S5 Ep. 3)
10. Cause and Effect (S5 Ep. 18)
All are philosophically very interesting and most are carried by Stewart’s performance. I highly recommend them.

Patrick Stewart in the final scene on Star Trek: The Next Generation.
It’s extremely simple, but reveals so much of his character if you watched. Somehow his sense of duty and sensitivity, along with the admiration of his crew shines through.
RIP Captain.

He’ll never know this but Patrick Stewart showed countless boys how to be men. He showed that strength didn't have to mean intimidation, that intelligence should come with humility, and that you could - and should - stand up for what was right even when it cost you something.

This was the moment I had dream of, the moment I had feared. Patrick Stewart walking onto the bridge of the USS Enterprise that I had recreated. Would he hate it would he love it. What would this moment feel like. For months we agonized over every detail, then the moment came and he walked onto the bridge and moved to the chair that had helped define his career and he sat down. I clicked the shot as that smile fell over his face. This is how I will remember him. Such an honor to have had the opportunity to work with such an extraordinary individual. He will be greatly missed.

If you haven't had the chance. Listen to his autobiography on audiobook as he narrates it himself. I listened to it on one long roadtrip during a very challenging time and it's truly a gift.

In 1986, Gene Roddenberry said Patrick Stewart's name should "never, ever be mentioned in my presence again."
Five years later, Stewart sang and danced on the bridge of the Enterprise as a birthday surprise for him.
It was never meant to be seen. A copy survived and ended up as a DVD bonus.
RIP Sir Patrick.
