Have been busy helping my family every day after work so I ended up skipping a few days in a row, which ended my streak for 100daysofcode. Won’t have much energy left to study every night now, so will figure out a new schedule - maybe mornings before work or every other night
Day 41 #100DaysOfCode I feel useless updating this because i'm still stuck on the same thing since last week...
Day 40 #100daysofcode I took a break yesterday. Today continued reviewing week 3 lecture and going back to linear search, bubble sort,...to see if I missed something
Day 39 #100DaysofCode Continued re-watching @cs50 wk3 lecture to see if i missed something that is causing me to have so much trouble with understanding running times for sorts...
Also I guess I should sleep earlier today, feel like my brain's been slower than even my usual slow
Day 38 #100DaysOfCode haven’t gotten much done since Labor Day weekend...sigh short session again. Reviewed lecture to see if I forgot something that is causing me to have a hard time with insertion sort and continued doing some calculations
Day 37 #100DaysofCode Reviewed multiple sites and videos about insertion sort and worst case the past few days. The CS50 vid says each of the "n" elements shifts "n" positions each time, so "n^2". but when i try, it comes out to "n(n-1)". asking CS50 discord for clarification..
Day 36 #100DaysOfCode Took a day off yesterday for labor day weekend. Today still figuring out insertion sort worst case running time....
Day 35 #100DaysOfCode still trying to figure out the worst case running time of insertion sort...
Day 34 #100DaysOfCode just studied 30 min today, bc i'm getting quite sleepy. Reviewed insertion sort and worked on figuring out its worst case running time.
Day 33 #100DaysofCode Reviewed the previous types of search and sort that I've learned this week and started learning about Insertion Sort.
Day 32 #100DaysOfCode Finished studying the Bubble Sort and Selection Sort video
Day 31 #100DaysOfCode Had a long day yesterday and today..so I only finished reviewing the Binary Search video and started the Bubble Sort video.
Day 30 #100DaysofCode watched CS50 week 3 videos that go into more detail about Linear Search and Binary Search.
Day 29 #100DaysOfCode Learned about Algorithms, Big O, Recursion, Merge Sort in CS50 wk 3. Conceptually, this week feels like a big jump from week 1-2.
I'm excited to learn these important concepts I often hear about but nervous at the same time...
Also, we watched a cool visualization comparing sorting algorithms: youtube.com/watch?v=ZZuD6iUe…
(so far we've only learned about bubble sort, merge sort, and selection sort)
Day 28 #100DaysOfCode Finished CS50 Week 2 Substitution - a program that implements a substitution cipher to encrypt a message. Even though I already did week 2's pset, I wanted to do this extra one to make sure I felt comfortable.
Day 27 #100DaysOfCode Started reviewing the prompt for CS50 Week 2's "Substitution" pset. The program is supposed to encrypt a message by substituting a letter with another letter, instead of adding a numeric key to the letters like the previous problem.
Day 26 #100DaysOfCode Yay finished the week 2 encryption problem.
