This post is so important. One of the central allegations against Lucy Letby doesn't even seem to be possible.
#LucyLetby
If anyone still thinks Lucy Letby poisoned Baby F with insulin, please explain how she could have gained access to the additive port (the centre white one) of the stock TPN bag.
She wasn't at work when this bag was hung so it would have had to have been done while it was in storage, and no one was even expecting beforehand that the previous TPN bag would have to be replaced - it had unexpectedly tissued.
Injecting insulin into this bag would have required breaking off the manufacturer's white tamper-evident plastic tab over the port (which can't subsequently be put back), with the entire bag also wrapped in a cellophane outer.
This is the safety cap described by pharmacist Ian Allen in his trial testimony as "tamper-proof."
It can't be done.
And that's the only way to inject anything into the bag without causing leaks.
The insulin test does NOT prove that Lucy Letby somehow performed the impossible to get insulin into this bag.

P.S. The bag shown below is a multi-chamber adult TPN bag from the same manufacturer that supplies Babiven Maintenance TPN. (There are no publicly available images of Babiven TPN bags because they're an NHS-specific product for neonatal units only).
However, the port design shown here is as described and demonstrated in trial testimony by pharmacist Ian Allen using a Babiven bag, with its central snap-off tamper-evident safety cap.

Interesting - when it comes to expert witnesses, the Law Society Gazette considers that the Lucy Letby case - along with Post Office Horizon - is now notorious.
For bloody good reason.
The case has thrown the system into disrepute.

Watching the Henry Novak programme, what stands out most is the incredible dignity and strength shown by his parents.
Their son was murdered, and to hear how badly they feel let down by the police makes their experience even more heartbreaking. #HenryNowak

Quote from this Guardian article -
"Just two months before Lady Justice Kathryn Thirlwall opened her inquiry into events at the Countess of Chester hospital and the crimes of Lucy Letby, a report by Chris Henley KC was published into the “atrocious” wrongful conviction of Andrew Malkinson for rape.
Henley prefaced that report with a plea for the legal establishment to recognise that the criminal courts produce miscarriages of justice. Right up to top judges in the court of appeal, Henley wrote, the system has “a deep-seated … cultural reluctance” to accept it “will on occasion make mistakes” and that “entirely innocent defendants will sometimes be convicted”.
He said the system needed a culture that acknowledges mistakes can be made and ensures “in our various roles when making decisions we are all alive to this potential risk”. "

The cruelest irony of the #LucyLetby case is that her psychological distress has been interpreted as evidence against her, rather than a consequence of what she has endured. Falsely accused of monstrous crimes - even her suffering has become suspect.

Writing this in my personal capacity, but I have been flying these types of aircraft for more than 20 years, with over 8,000 hours, and have reasonable familiarity with how the charter world operates. I feel compelled to post after seeing commentary about the Lear 60 crash, from missile strikes to DEI to critiquing this poor woman’s final radio calls.
That last part is what I find most troubling. She was the second-in-command (SIC), and while she was empowered to point out mistakes as part of good crew resource management, she was doing her job, communicating with ATC right to the end in a terrifying situation. She likely knew before many of those calls that she was going to die. I have heard final calls from friends, from military pilots with thousands of hours in fighter aircraft, and they are just as heartbreaking because they know the end is approaching.
I understand the public interest given the footage and audio. But you do not know the aircraft’s maintenance history, whether there was a structural failure, if any failure was induced by turbulence, overspeed, or overcontrol, or everything happening in that cockpit. I am sure weather will be part of the investigation, but beyond that, it is speculation. The charter industry routinely hires commercial pilots very early in their careers to gain experience alongside an ATP-qualified captain before they move up to the airlines. She would still have the appropriate training, qualifications, and checkouts by an FAA examiner or designee.
Let people investigate, learn, and share the facts. Be respectful to those who perished and the families who carry their memories. God bless them and their loved ones.
Pulling the rug: Just before her trial #lucyletby was abruptly transferred to another prison without her belongings or medications and suffered a breakdown. Facing the trial of her life, she was deprived of stability when she needed it most. No wonder she was shell-shocked in court.

Quite possibly the most ridiculous claim in modern politics.

SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.

Dewi Evans was the prosecution’s star expert whose opinions helped send Lucy Letby to prison for life. Now he’s on Substack inventing the “Dunning-Kruger-Morris Effect” and sneering at random people’s chapters.
If your expert is still out there publicly slagging off critics like a partisan, people are entitled to ask whether he was ever independent at all.
