Just so we're clear: my Mum knows I post on here about her. When she's in her right mind, she encourages it, bc she wants people to know what its like to care for a loved one at home. So those who want to police my account, just don't please. I have enough on my plate.
I might be sitting in my favourite spot, but I'm still cross with you, Mum, for not letting me eat that lizard earlier...might have done a poo somewhere...not telling...
Update on Mum: she had a good week overall. She's settled down now, and doing alot better. pressure injuries acquired in hospital are healing, and her mobility is good still. Hard to believe she is turning 93 next week! I'm planning a surprise for her.

#EpilepsyMyths: You CANNOT swallow your tongue. It may be swollen afterwards from biting it during the #seizure, but it CANNOT be swallowed.
I once woke up after multiple #seizures with a tongue so swollen that I had to communicate with a tablet because I couldnโt talk. So please stop believing that during a seizure a tongue can be swallowed. ๐คฅ๐

update on Mum: Mum enjoyed a wonderful sleep, and got up and dressed this morning with no fuss. now hear hearing is back to normal, delerium is gone; no more shouting. Hopefully her anxiety will settle down now.
Having my dinner at 11.30pm, bc its that sort of night. scambled eggs, spring onions, pepper and salt on toast. 1st time in a long time I am actually hungry.
MUM CAN HEAR AGAIN! Impacted earwax is gone! Hooray! Poor little Mum was so frightened, but now has her bearings again. Poor old love.
...Ah...earwax removal put back until monday now, owing to unforseen curcumstances (not our's thankfully!). Mum's doing ok.
carer capers: moved, changed and toileted mum at 4.30am. she was not talking - we both have respiratory tract infections caught from the hospital *sigh* . put mum in her chair. 02 was low, and very high pulse. Gave her a drink, encouraged her to talk so she would cough...
