Being in your 50s is honestly hilarious. π
One friend is a grandma, another still has a 10-year-old at home. One is celebrating 25 years of marriage, while another is dating someone whoβs 25. One looks like they havenβt aged since 35, and another threw their back out just by sneezing.
Some are planning retirement, others are starting over after divorce. Some are becoming empty nesters, while others are still attending school meetings and making lunches. Some are booking cruises, others are discovering dating apps for the first time.
Half of us are saying, βLife is just getting started!β while the other half need three business days to recover from sleeping in the wrong position.
Weβre all the same age, yet somehow living completely different lives. π
Nobody warned us that our 50s would look this chaotic, unpredictable, and entertaining. Honestly, we deserve a group discount on therapy, multivitamins, and heating pads. π

Elijah was a mighty prophet of God, but even he reached a place where the weight of everything became too much. In 1 Kings 19:4, he poured out his heart to the Lord and said, βI have had enough, Lord.β Exhausted, discouraged, and overwhelmed, he no longer wanted to keep going. God didnβt shame him for being tired or condemn him for a weak moment. He met him in his exhaustion, let him rest, provided what he needed, strengthened him, and reminded him that his story was not finished. Be real with God. You donβt have to pretend youβre strong when youβre hurting. Tell Him when youβre tired, disappointed, or when life feels too heavy to carry. God can handle the truth of your heart. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is admit, βLord, Iβm tired. I need You.β Just as He met Elijah in his lowest moment, trust that God can meet you there, restore your strength, and help you keep going.
