I just spent the last 10 minutes waiting for @kcpolice to answer their phone which they never did. They're not answering 911 calls either. I thought they might like to know that there has been gunshots at Tower Park. 🤷🏻♀️

I'm disappointed in @Bitly who decided to cut back some free accounts to 10 links per month AND removed all tracking data from created links, previously showing data, WITHOUT warning, while other free accounts still get 10k links per month?
If you can post popups about using Canva w/ @Bitly then you can also add popups to warn free account users that their link-tracking data will be placed behind a paywall. Maybe invite free users to try the paid tier free for 30 days or give them that much time to download data?
As you can tell by this threaded tweet, I am not happy about being forced to purchase a paid link-shortening service without so much as a "please" or "thank you" so I'm looking elsewhere to get the job done. No more free advertising for you @Bitly 👋 #byebyebitly
I don't get many trick-or-treaters on my block. That's why this event is perfect for me! I get to see all of the littles and their costumes, hand out candy and wear spooky costumes! Here's the link - bit.ly/WTNAHalloweenWarmup20…

Horrible outcomes due to misconduct in Marion County Kansas resulting in the death of an elderly woman. #ksleg this is unacceptable!
This story is wild & highlights several dangers of unchecked police authority.
- Small town corruption
- A police raid to shutdown the local newspaper
- Police endangering senior citizens in their 80s & 90s by seizing their emergency contact devices in the raid

Which US workers are more exposed to #ai on their jobs?
About a fifth of all workers have high-exposure jobs; women, Asian, college-educated and higher-paid workers are more exposed. But those in the most exposed industries are more likely to say #AI will help more than hurt them personally.

This is great news for @kcpublicschools kids!
Snapchat is set to overtake TikTok this year in new user signups but the same research suggests that will be a temporary thing as TikTok will regain it's position in 2024. 🤷🏻♀️
All in all the data has shown a slow decline in new-user signups over all of the social networks and in the case of Twitter, a steady and fast decline of users overall, despite Elon Musk's rapid-fire attempts at re-branding.

A recent study found that #BIPOC influencers aren't getting equitable compensation and are working harder than white influencers. 😢
The results are exactly as we suspected with #BIPOC influencers reporting less income per post than white influencers and a shocking difference in how these two groups get started in the influencer industry. - wholisticmediaagency.com/pos…

Any time the council tries to change our City's charter in 5 days (instead of 5 weeks) we should be concerned. I applaud @KCTenants for their advocacy.
As a community leader in Waldo, I can say that Tarwater is a real disappointment as a Jackson county legislator & I can only assume we'll get more of the same absentee leadership if he is elected to City council. That's why I'm encouraging everyone I know to vote for @DuncanforKC

Absolutely horrible what they did to the trees in the Northland. 😭
I'm still basking in the election results from Tuesday! Here's another candidate I voted for and will continue to support as he heads into the general election! #PeopleOverPolitics #KansasCity
