Pains me to say it, but there needs to be an independent inquiry into anti-semitism at the BBC. Lucie Kon's allegations - some of which are set out in this @TimesRadio interview - are so serious they can't be brushed aside. Over to you @lisanandy.

NEW: Staggering details emerging from Westminster Mags on the RAF Fairford plot today.
One of the five men arrested near the US military base called the police after a "handler" warned there was a bomb in the van, a court heard.
Mohmed Abdulkarim, 24, and Nouman Essghir, 24, both appeared in court on Tuesday charged under the National Security Act 2023.
Abdulkarim, of London, is accused of assisting a foreign intelligence service, by acting as an “intermediary” for the handler Ali.
While Essghir, also of London, has been charged with entering a prohibited place for a purpose prejudicial to the UK, relating to an alleged “reconnaissance” mission on August 22, around a month before the Fairford incident.
The group were ordered to drive the van loaded with petrol to RAF Fairford by a handler known as ‘Ali’ who police believe was working on behalf of Iran.
No explosives, or improvised explosives were found in the vans, the court heard.
Police did find a metal oil drum in each, two of which had petrol in, along with hard plastic water butts and internet-enabled dashcams.
Prosecuting, Louise Gray, said: “Shortly thereafter the message was received that there was a bomb in the vehicles and one of them called the police.”
Abdulkarim is alleged to have aided the organiser, Ali, who is believed to be abroad and to be acting in the interests of the Iranian state.
Ali is also potentially connected to an incident at the Israeli embassy earlier this year, where propaganda videos were posted online suggesting it had been attacked with a chemical weapon by a drone, the court heard.
Prosecutors allege that Abdulkarim aided Ali, buying equipment for the mission and receiving multiple payments from him totalling around £70,000.
Before the men, allegedly enlisted by Abdulkarim, travelled to RAF Fairford, £300 worth of petrol was filled into the drums in the back of the vans.

Former BBC Panorama producer @philcraig says the Beeb has been taken over by a “radical generation” and that “all the mistakes” in its Gaza coverage “seem to be in the same direction.”
He points to the al-Ahli hospital blast, when the BBC rushed to blame Israel for what turned out to be a misfired Hamas rocket, and warns this kind of poor journalism has helped fan fires around the world — including literal fires at synagogues.
Gerald and I are proud to call Phil a friend and colleague. Thank you for the clarity and courage in calling out your former employer.

If you want me to believe my family is safe and you care about the safety of my children, as you no doubt have told me publicly and privately, @AbdulElSayed, perhaps you might say you don't agree with the sentiments expressed here, since they are both antisemitic and false.
(That is not what your campaign said here)

Remember when some random Gazan woman came out with a crazy story claiming that the IDF had gone into a Gaza hospital and rape dozens of people, and hundreds of propagandists posted the story virally and it was reported on mainstream media and podcasts… then just a day later, even Hamas and Al Jazeera came out and openly admitted it was a complete lie and a fabricated story.
Well I remember. All they ever do is lie and make stuff up.

.@NoahCRothman on CNN NewsNight on the polls that show more Americans now sympathize with Palestinians than Israelis: "There’s been a very effective propaganda campaign."
Rothman on the prospect of the expanded representation in the Knesset by Israeli Arabs in the wake of the election in Israel: This demonstrates that "Israel is as bad at genocide as they are at apartheid. Can these Israelis just get anything right?"
Rothman: "For example, one of the results that we’re seeing tonight is a profound outpouring of Arab vote. What we’re looking at is, we’re just talking about exit polls, as you said, but possibly up to eighteen MKs from the Arab population. Inside Israel, demonstrating that Israel is as bad at genocide as they are at apartheid. Can these Israelis just get anything right? And yet, you hear very often about how Israel is an apartheid state. You hear it from the mayor of New York City, you hear it from the activists in the DSA. The Arab voters who just voted in 18 MKs probably don’t agree. That’s the sort of thing that we get, that graph. That’s the sort of reason why we have these conceptions about the Netanyahu government. And by the way, if Eisenkot becomes prime minister, you will see no change in the perception of this country from those who have been demonizing it for the last three decades..."

How dumb do you have to be to complain about Palestinians who hold a Palestinian passport & are under Palestinian rule, not being able to vote for Israeli elections?
These are the same people who never complain that elections in Gaza and WB have not taken place in over a decade.

The US spends as much defending South Korea as the credit line it gives US companies to help protect Israel.
It spends far more on Japan and far far more on the defence of Europe.
In fact the majority of the $1trn US defence budget is to protect foreign democracies with US blood and treasure.
But the reason Bananas cost more in America is the 1/2000th of the Federal budget spent on American companies to help protect the one jewish state.
Of course the obsession has nothing to do with the jewishness of the one jewish state.

This is what happens when people cook their brains on nihilism and antisemitism.
There is NO country in the world that allows non-citizens to vote in elections. According to Emma Vigeland, there isn't a single "democracy" on the entire planet.
Meanwhile, Arabs living under Palestinian Authority rule in West Bank have been denied the promised elections for almost 22 years. Mahmoud Abbas is a de facto dictator. Does Emma Vigeland criticize this explicit denial of "democracy" by Abbas and the PA to the very same Arabs who are not Israeli citizens and she claims should still vote in Isreali elections? Of course not, because she'd rather engage in Goebbels-level rhetoric and propaganda in attacking Israel.

They demanded their own government.
They got their own government.
They should vote for their own government.
Oh wait … their government has cancelled all elections for two decades.
Take it up with them. It’s not Israel’s problem.
The most laughably stupid Israeli hasbara line you’ll hear today: “Arabs can vote in Israel, so it can’t be apartheid.”
Now tell me: how can more than 700,000 Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, vote in Israeli elections, while Palestinians living in the same territory cannot?
