The Weed Queen of Virginia: How Louise Lucas Legalized Marijuana — Then Got Indicted for Selling It
🚨 SHE LEGALIZED IT. THEN SHE SOLD IT. THEN THE FBI CAME KNOCKING. 🚨
Virginia’s most powerful Democrat — 82-year-old Senate President Pro Tem Louise Lucas — just got indicted on RACKETEERING charges.
The feds say she ran “the Lucas Enterprise”: a family marijuana ring that pushed 100+ kilos of illegal weed while she wrote the laws regulating it.
Her own words, caught on a wiretap:
“I’ve gotten too old to not be greedy.”
She surrendered Thursday. Six relatives charged. $750K to a shell company. Wiretaps on journalists, politicians, and half of Richmond.
She’s spent 30 years in the Senate. She legalized the plant.
Then she allegedly became the plug.

More great ORES news!
Hemlock Hollow Wind, a proposed 95MW wind complex for Cattaraugus County, New York, has announced that they have withdrawn their proposal for an ORES wind complex indefinitely.
The complex would have been built by Liberty Renewables, whose parent company is the Danish holding company: Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP).
As the Olean Star reported, "Area residents seemed most concerned over the possibility that noise and infrasound from the wind turbines would affect the health of people living nearby as well as the visual impact of the 650-foot high structures sitting atop mountain ridges."
Keep the pressure on! Congratulations to everyone who would have been impacted by this wind complex.

Why was the Shepherd's Run Solar ORES project denied by the executive director... the first solar project EVER to be denied by ORES before receiving its final permit?
I went to the adjudicatory hearing in Copake, New York last month where we sat in on what was one of the most shocking things I'd ever witnessed publicly.
It was clear the Department of Public Service (DPS) had called the meeting to order, specifically, for the public to see firsthand the misreporting (it was lying - but I will add an "allegedly" disclaimer here for legal purposes) that had gone on through Hecate Energy and its engineer.
Those of us who have been following ORES solar/wind projects in our own towns know that this is commonplace for every ORES industrial complex. So why was Copake any different?
That day, while I sat there in the Copake Town Hall, I watched the solar engineer struggle to answer questions about the project location within a FEMA Zone A Special Flood Hazard Area associated with the Taghkanic Creek, and project components were proposed within that flood-hazard area.
Hecate’s own inundation modeling showed that a significant portion of the site could flood. Inverters, collection lines, and access roads were drawn in an area that could be under 2+ feet of water.
Copake has a local flood-damage-prevention law, Chapter 135, adopted as part of the federal National Flood Insurance Program framework. This became extremely important because the Attorney Law Judges (ALJs) ultimately concluded that Chapter 135 was "not simply an ordinary local zoning law that ORES could override." They found it was part of an integrated federal-state-local flood protection program, and that the Town, not ORES, had the authority to administer it.
This was unprecedented for the ALJs to depart from ORES in their recommended ruling like this. Is there a split within the department, perhaps a faction of the DPS that wants to pull away from ORES?
What's even more significant is that Shepherd's Run Solar is not the only ORES project with FEMA Zone A flood zones. Flat Creek Solar was one (now relinquished). And so is Fort Edward Solar.
Since ORES just denied a permit to Shepherd's Run Solar based on this floodplains issue, then the 4 remaining ORES projects with a similar issue should be relinquished and denied as well.

Big Tish and little Kathy are going down.
Breaking 🚨 NEW YORK POLLS show a race that is tightening.
Governor
🟦 Kathy Hochul 50.3%
🟥 Bruce Blakeman 45.9%
Attorney General
🟥 Saritha Komatireddy 50%
🟦 Letitia James 48%
Two races. Both tightening.
Highest taxes in the country. Crime they refuse to fix. Sanctuary policies that put politics ahead of public safety. People still packing up and leaving.
Hochul and James have had years. New Yorkers are done with the status quo.
Blakeman + Komatireddy put taxpayers and law enforcement first.
Vote November 3. Fire the incumbents. Take the state back.

Amish woman scares off illegal immigrant with a weed whacker during alleged kidnapping attempt in Lancaster County.
⠀
The 23-year-old was weed-whacking near her Creek Road driveway in Sadsbury Township around 4:30 p.m. on October 14 when Junior Jose Davila-Moran, 26, of Hamilton Township, New Jersey, tapped her shoulder. He held a serrated knife and handcuffs and demanded she put the cuffs on, telling her everything would be okay if she cooperated.
⠀
She revved the trimmer and stepped toward him while screaming. Davila-Moran fled behind a barn.
⠀
A neighbor's trail camera captured a dark Chevrolet pickup with New Jersey plates nearby. The vehicle was registered to his father. The woman identified him in a photo lineup after his picture matched her description.
⠀
New Jersey officers arrested him at his home the following Friday and found handcuffs in the vehicle. Pennsylvania State Police charged him with felony kidnapping counts along with false imprisonment, simple as$ault, possession of an instrument of crime, and terroristic threats.
⠀
DHS confirmed he is a Guatemalan national who entered illegally. Border Patrol arrested him in Donna, Texas, in January 2018 and transferred him to Office of Refugee Resettlement custody as a juvenile. ICE placed a detainer on October 19 and will take custody after extradition to Lancaster County.
⠀
Local prosecution continues regardless of the federal hold. A preliminary hearing remains unscheduled while the extradition process plays out.

"We need change in our New York State government... and fast.

Commercial solar can't stand on its own, in an open market, in our Upstate NY climate.
Maine has similar weather as well.
When a form of energy converts at only 12-15% of its annual potential, it needs a disgusting amount of subsidies and credits to insulate it from the ebbs and flows of an open market.
That's why @NYSERDA takes money from the ratepayers of this state through our delivery charges and SBC charges on our electric bills. That's why your electric bill tripled in one-year.
Here's what's happening in Maine this week:
"Ownership stakes in 19 Maine solar projects are headed to a foreclosure auction. And while some developers face financial trouble, Mainers are still being forced to help fund this industry through electric bills they can barely afford, to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars a year going forward."
We need change in our New York State government... and fast.
We need a new governor.

Around 130 countries require knowledge of an official language for naturalization, per GLOBALCIT data. The US is one of them, so about 129 others. High formal levels (like B1/B2) are mainly European; many others use basic conversational checks. Exceptions include Ireland, Sweden, Chile and several smaller states.
The Marshals got him!
Sanctuary status will be revoked on Bruce Blakeman's 1st day in office!!
A 31-year-old Dominican illegal alien entered the US in 2023 under the Biden-Harris administration then was released despite an ICE detainer under Kathy Hochul and Zohran Mamdani’s sanctuary policies before allegedly ramming an on-duty NYPD officer with his SUV in the South Bronx.
⠀
Eduardo Paulino faced misdemeanor as$ault charges after punching a stranger in a parking dispute on September 14 but those charges were not bail-eligible under New York rules so he walked free while ICE sought his removal.
⠀
Saturday night officers responded to a loud gathering in Hunts Point. Paulino got into a white Honda Pilot, struck the uniformed officer in the legs while fleeing, and left the scene. The officer suffered serious leg injuries but remains stable.
⠀
US Marshals arrested Paulino Monday. He now faces attempted m*rder of a police officer and is held on bail with the ICE detainer still active.
⠀
New York’s sanctuary policies under Hochul and Mamdani put this man back on the street after he entered under Biden-Harris and an NYPD officer paid the price.
⠀
End sanctuary cities.
