There’s something about these long, dark winter nights that sparks the shadowy corners of my imagination. Perfect timing, because I’m deep into writing my second dark-fiction book. Here’s to embracing the chill, the quiet, and the stories that come alive after sunset.

Had a lovely stroll through Durham today. Grabbed a quick snack at Riverview Kitchen and got a window seat overlooking the swollen River Wear. Calm, cosy, and exactly what I needed. 🌧️☕🌿

Just had a wonderful night at the Town Hall. Such an array of local talent. Well done to you all. It was also Oliver’s first performance with the Samba Band and he was amazing.

I have decided there is no political party at the moment worthy of my vote. I think it’s going to take quite a while for anybody to change my mind.

I’ve just watched a program on mental health. A phone call or a text asking somebody how they are can have a huge impact on them you may never know you had; in some cases you could even save a life. Keep calling. Keep texting. Keep in touch.

This was a great night on stage. So honoured to have been part of that band.
