But while pushing a platform of law, order, and traditional family values, court records revealed she was allegedly engaging in the exact opposite behind closed doors. The former state senator faced disturbing accusations of sexual harassment stemming from a 2016 incident involving a Capitol lobbyist. According to court depositions, a female lobbyist testified under oath that Ugenti-Rita and her now-husband repeatedly pressured her into a three-way sexual encounter. The lobbyist reported being subjected to unwanted explicit photographs, targeted suggestive comments, and an intense misuse of political power that left her fearing for her career. Though a 2018 legislative probe technically cleared Ugenti-Rita by claiming her husband sent the explicit media alone, the victim publicly blasted the report as a whitewash.
