I had an incredible experience at Kodansha House LA this year, hosting an event for our @KODANSHA_KMA community.
Thank you so much for this opportunity. It reminded me of the power of community and the incredible stories Japan creates that are loved by people all around the world🇯🇵❤️

Hi everyone!
This is Sora and Mari from the KMA Discord Team!
We’ve put a lot of heart into making this Discord a place where you can truly feel at home while working on your manga. We wanted to share a little more about how we’re supporting each other inside!
What you’ll find in our community:
✦ The Mangaka Channel: A friendly spot to connect with other creators. It’s been so great seeing beginners and seniors chatting and sharing advice!
✦ Showcase & Feedback: A safe space to post your sketches or finished pages and get some helpful, kind eyes on your work.
✦ Japanese Practice: A low-pressure corner to practice your language skills with friends.
✦ Community Hangout: A space to voice chat, share your screen while you draw, or just co-draw with other mangakas!
✦ Exclusive Events: We’re planning some fun hangouts with the KMA Team and HENSHUSHA (editors) soon!
One last thing: If you join us by May 20th, you can grab the "Early-Member" role! We’re planning a special surprise for everyone who has it!
Join the KMA Discord here (discord.com/invite/kodansha-…).
(And to everyone already in the server, thank you for making it such a special and kind place! 🫶)

After all this talk about bad AI art, we have to cleanse our palate with some real, high quality art made by a real artist. 💖
I love a good open edition mint and this one is happening in about an hour!
It's by Japanese artist Kaniza and all six pieces are animated. You can mint it on @opensea and proceeds will be used to fund the artist's short anime! ☺️💖
SUPPORT REAL ARTISTS WHO CREATE REAL ART!!!!!
I'll put the link to the OS page in the comments so go check it out 👇
