This is why the stories of guys like Junior Bridgeman and Jamal Mashburn are so important.
I recently visited a house in Miami owned by a Heat player. (My client was the prospective buyer). The house was the scene of a bankruptcy in action.
The player was at the end of his career. Selling the house at a significant loss after just a few years of owning it. Important to note: Miami single family over $5M is one of the best performing segments of the real estate market here. He managed to lose money on a house in a market that shot up. Amazing.
Easily over $5M of cars in the driveway (I am not exaggerating). And three rooms full of mostly sneakers. Thousands of pairs. It was mind boggling.
The listing agent started to extoll the virtues of the driveway, saying how nicely cars fit. My buyer, who can buy the whole thing in cash, deadpans that he does not have a car.
The contrast was rather poetic, in a tragic sort of way.

ME LOVE MOVIES. BUT ME LOVE COOKIES MORE.
Me just watch You Can See Everything, and me have many thoughts.
First, title very misleading.
You Can See Everything?
EVERYTHING?
Then WHERE COOKIES?
Me spend entire movie looking for cookies. Me see people. Me see places. Me see many things that make Cookie Monster think deep thoughts about life and meaning of existence.
But me no see single chocolate chip cookie.
This serious oversight.
STORY: NOM NOM NOM
Movie have interesting premise. Make audience think about what they see, what they don't see, and what they THINK they see.
Very philosophical.
Me know something about philosophy.
For example, if cookie fall on floor, and nobody around to hear it, does cookie still taste delicious?
YES. OBVIOUSLY.
Five-second rule merely social construct.
Movie also explore important question: Can we ever really see everything?
Me say no.
Because sometimes cookie hidden behind other cookie.
And sometimes cookie already in tummy.
ACTING: VERY GOOD. NOT ENOUGH EATING.
Actors do excellent job. Very believable. Me believe they real people with real problems.
But me wonder why nobody solve problems by eating cookies.
Person sad? Cookie.
Person confused? Cookie.
Person experiencing existential crisis brought on by fundamental uncertainty of human perception?
TWO COOKIES.
Me should be script consultant.
CINEMATOGRAPHY: ME SEE EVERYTHING EXCEPT WHAT ME WANT TO SEE.
Beautiful images. Excellent camera work. Many interesting visual choices.
Me particularly appreciate scenes where camera stay still.
This give Cookie Monster time to check under seat for snacks.
Unfortunately, cinematographer seem obsessed with faces, landscapes, and artistic composition.
Me would suggest more close-ups of baked goods.
Maybe dramatic slow-motion shot of chocolate chip cookie breaking in half.
THAT CINEMA.
FINAL VERDICT
You Can See Everything thoughtful, ambitious movie that challenge audience to reconsider nature of observation, perception, and reality.
Me impressed.
But movie ultimately fail to answer most important question of all:
If you can see everything...
WHY YOU NO SEE COOKIE MONSTER?
Me give movie four and half cookies.
Would be five, but me ate half cookie during opening credits.
