Lots of accolades: Nicole Adams won first prize at both the @UFVetMed research day and at the @UF_CVM_IDI retreat, and @nimrakh55920385 successfully presented an oral talk, two posters, & submitted a fellowship app, all while finishing off her coursework. These two are troopers!
While I'm at it (a late post): two excellent students graduating recently: Ashley Clarke is applying for vet school (watch out world!) and @lexxirvinn, who recently accepted an offer form @Cornell grad school. #ProudPI
Super proud of Isabelle Llabona for graduating! While in my lab, Isabelle discovered an antibacterial and used it to describe two virulence pathways in Francisella.
This is just one milestone that will pave the way to a successful professional career. Go for it Izzy!

I’m excited to share my work in the @aaronwhiteley lab studying an antiphage system related to human cGAS-STING! With the @_KevinCorbett lab, we discovered a regulatory mechanism for cGAS-like enzymes that use a primordial Ub transferase! Let me explain biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
