The New Testament, Jesus, and the apostles make it very clear that Genesis 1–11, including the account of the Flood, is literal history.
Located along the midline light-well of Deck Two, these enclosures allow for up-close viewing of the animals from multiple angles. This exhibit is both experiential and educational, offering life-sized animal figures in staged cages and signs with fun facts about the displayed kinds. In addition to the “fun facts” signs, there is information relating to the biblical “unicorn,” managing potential carnivores on the Ark, and more.
Examples of displayed animals include a pair of entelodonts (extinct mammals that look something like a cross between a wolf and a pig); small, low-horned rhinoceroses; pug-nosed crocodile-like simosuchuses; lanky hyenas; juvenile tyrannosaurs; antelope-like cattle; saber-toothed marsupials; and long-faced, otter-like pakicetids—a supposed evolutionary ancestor of whales.
Overall, this exhibit provides an interesting and unconventional look at the sorts of animals Noah and his family could have maintained on the Ark. These animal figures only scratch the surface of the true imaginativeness of our Creator, while the enclosures provide a glimpse at the potential ingenuity of our ancestors on the Ark.
The Bible describes Noah’s Ark as a safe haven during the Flood for all kinds of land animals and flying creatures that God created.
Billions of straight-shelled nautiloids are buried in a single limestone layer across 10 thousand square miles, pointing directly to a massive catastrophe during the Flood.
Because the Flood was global, we find billions of dead things buried in rock layers laid down by water all over the earth.
Noah’s sons were named Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and they are the ancestors of all people alive today.
We find fossilized sea creatures high on the tops of major mountain ranges worldwide, showing that ocean waters once covered these sites before they rose up at the end of the global Flood.
Thick sequences of rock layers in the Grand Canyon are sharply bent without breaking, demonstrating that the sediments were folded while still soft during the Flood.
Noah had a wife and three sons who also had wives; all eight people were safe aboard the Ark during the global Flood.
