Secret Pentagon plot to help Democrats bring down Pete Hegseth after midterms: All the stashed papers and clandestine military meetings revealed. 'We are ready with the receipts' | Susan Greene, Daily Mail
One set of documents is stashed in a gun safe in Northern Virginia. Another sits in a safe deposit box at a Washington, DC, bank. A third is tucked away somewhere on the West Coast.
All three hold evidence that fed-up Defense Department officials hope will force Pete Hegseth out after next week's midterm elections.
Pentagon sources told the Daily Mail they and their colleagues have spent much of the last 22 months compiling emails, memos and meeting notes.
The files detail times the defense secretary and his inner circle allegedly ignored strategic and legal advice, berated the experts who gave it, withheld information from Congress and the public, and threatened the careers of subordinates who either challenged his decisions or struck him as too woke, fat, queer or disloyal.
They figure the paper trail, plus a list of potential witnesses from inside the department, will come in handy if Democrats retake the House in November and, as expected, open an impeachment investigation in 2027.
'We're ready with the receipts,' said a longtime Army officer who keeps a Trapper Keeper, once his daughter's high school binder, double-locked in his basement gun safe. Inside are documents that he believes could one day bring down his boss.
He is one of several Defense Department insiders who described coordinated plans to hand paper trails and personal accounts to lawmakers interested in investigating, and possibly impeaching, Hegseth.
All insisted on anonymity, fearing for their jobs, military pensions and ability to build a case from inside the Pentagon.
'We're sticking our necks out. You gotta protect us,' one pleaded.
This comes as news broke Wednesday that Hegseth has fired the Pentagon's top military planner, Army Lt Gen Brett Sylvia.
Formerly heading up strategy, plans and policy on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Sylvia was removed after he reportedly leaked classified information about the war in Iran as well as the war between Russia and Ukraine – and just as President Donald Trump considers renewed strikes on Iran following next week's midterm elections.
Since early 2025, the Daily Mail has been in close contact with a core group of military and civilian Pentagon insiders who, along with others in the department, have tried in various ways to blow the whistle on Hegseth.
The former Fox & Friends host has rebranded the federal government's biggest agency the 'Department of War' and, they say, runs it like a personal fiefdom.
Our sources first raised red flags about the outsized role of Hegseth's wife, former Fox News producer Jennifer Hegseth.
After news broke that she was in encrypted Signal chats about sensitive details of a March 2025 US strike on Houthi rebels in Yemen, insiders revealed her Pentagon nickname: 'Yoko Ono,' a nod to her constant presence in her husband's business meetings.
By spring 2025, the insiders were decrying Hegseth for issuing orders and setting policy without considering, or even hearing, input from intelligence, security, logistics and legal advisers.
They described politicized decision-making, department-wide dysfunction, low morale and a climate of paranoia fed by what they call his obsession with rooting out dissent.
Several laid out their grievances in a 2025 letter that circulated among high- and mid-level brass and civilian workers, calling to 'Let the American public know this guy has no clue what he's doing,' one of them told the Daily Mail.
Chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell brushed it off as 'palace intrigue' and 'sensationalized mainstream media gossip' that Americans 'don't care about.'
'They care about action,' his statement read at the time.
The warnings grew more urgent as Hegseth kept firing top officials, including the Army secretary and chief of staff, the Joint Chiefs chairman, the Navy's highest-ranking officer, the top commander of forces in Europe and Africa, the judge advocates general (JAGs) of three military branches and scores of civilian Pentagon staffers.
They ramped up when dozens of extrajudicial strikes on suspected drug traffickers in the Caribbean and West Pacific began last fall. And they grew louder still in February, when the Trump administration attacked Iran without a declaration of war or specific legal authorization.
Hegseth claimed an early victory over Iran last winter and has touted that the US achieved 'every single objective.'
But our sources say he ignored, and even concealed, a string of uncomfortable truths about the war: The military wasn't ready before the attack, US sites across the Middle East were badly damaged, and stockpiles of key munitions ran low.
As recently as Friday, President Donald Trump threatened that the US 'may do another little [Operation] Epic Fury' against Iran soon.
All of our Pentagon insiders say Hegseth has been told again and again that continued war with Iran is unsustainable.
Some see his new 'doomsday plan,' ordering every major US military base to prepare to run for at least 90 days without outside electricity, fuel, water or supplies, as his way of tackling the problem without the awkwardness of urging the president to drop his war plans.
'Pete's lucky to be here and he knows it. He's never gonna say no to Trump,' one said.
Two sources said they've taken part, directly or indirectly, in briefing members of Congress and their staffers on Hegseth's rule over the military.
The briefings have been decidedly low-tech and well away from Capitol Hill and the Pentagon, including, one source said, at a sandwich shop and a dog park.
Blowing the whistle on the boss is risky.
Two sources described an agreement that unofficial meetings with lawmakers and interviews with reporters be handled by officials nearing retirement, not those with careers still ahead.
'If heads roll, it should be (us) who already raised our families and put our kids through college,' one said.
Some lawmakers have tried to act.
Last December, Michigan Democratic Representative Shri Thanedar introduced two articles of impeachment.
The first focused on the Caribbean boat strikes, which some Pentagon insiders told us amounted to war crimes.
The second accused Hegseth of leaking classified war plans via Signal to people without security clearances: his wife in one group chat and The Atlantic's editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, in another.
In April, Arizona Democrat Representative Yassamin Ansari introduced six articles. Among her allegations: waging an unauthorized war in Iran, targeting civilians at a school there and obstructing congressional oversight.
Both efforts stalled in Republican-led committees.
Last month, outgoing Republican Representative Thomas Massie went further, reading eight articles of impeachment on the House floor, including the allegations lodged by the two Democrats.
When he tried to force a vote, House Speaker Mike Johnson sent lawmakers home early, until after the midterms. The Kentucky Republican plans to try again the week of November 9.
A growing group of Republicans in both chambers are said to be losing confidence in Hegseth, but Massie's resolution could still struggle to pass in a GOP-controlled House.
'Trump should fire Hegseth to avoid Hegseth's impeachment,' Massie posted on X on October 15, the same day Trump overrode his war chief's plan to livestream the firing-squad execution of the man convicted of killing 13 people at Fort Hood in 2009. 'It's the honorable thing to do.'
As a rule, military and civilian Defense Department employees stay politically neutral on the job.
But a longtime officer who says he ignored politics throughout a 30-plus-year career could no longer do so after Trump appointed Hegseth.
'Democratic control can't come soon enough,' said the registered Republican, who hopes Democrats soon have the votes and subpoena power to open formal investigations.
House Democrats aren't hiding their plans to drive Hegseth out. Candidates on the trail are blaming him for skyrocketing gas prices and an Iran war with no end in sight.
Rep Jared Huffman of California has called the secretary an 'unhinged fanatic' whose reign needs to end as soon as possible.
Rep Suhas Subramanyam of Virginia, the ranking Democrat on the oversight subcommittee on military and foreign affairs, has voiced support for investigating Hegseth in the new Congress.
And Rep Melanie Stansbury, a New Mexico Democrat, has said impeaching Hegseth should be among House Democrats' top three priorities.
'One of the first things we're going to do in the majority, we're going to run Pete Hegseth out of town,' House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, expected to become Speaker in January, told voters in Pennsylvania earlier this month.
A House Armed Services Committee staffer, speaking on condition of anonymity, said he's in close contact with several Pentagon whistleblowers and knows about their efforts to supply evidence for a possible impeachment.
The House has impeached a war chief only once: in 1876, when Secretary of War William Belknap handed his resignation to President Ulysses Grant minutes before the vote. The Senate later acquitted him.
Even if Democrats have the simple majority to impeach Hegseth next term, the case would go to a Senate trial, where conviction takes a two-thirds supermajority.
'It's a longshot,' the staffer acknowledged.
Short of a conviction, the insiders say they'd be just as pleased with other routes to Hegseth's toppling.
One would be Trump firing him, as he did Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem less than two months after impeachment articles were introduced against her. The other would be Hegseth resigning under sustained political pressure.
Hegseth has been rumored to be eyeing a presidential bid since a political appearance in Iowa in August, a report he has called '100% false.'
And in recent weeks he reportedly has been angling for Sen. Marsha Blackburn to appoint him to her Senate seat if she wins the Tennessee governor's race in November, as expected. He lived briefly in the state before joining the cabinet.
A Pentagon insider who was once hopeful about the secretary lamented that Hegseth has 'had a target on his back' since his early-2025 confirmation process, when lawmakers from both parties grilled him about accusations of excessive drinking and a 2017 sex-assault allegation. He denied both.
He squeaked through by the narrowest possible margin, a 50-50 vote broken by Vice President JD Vance.
'They left… no room for the possibility that he changed his ways or that service members might embrace him,' that source said of Hegseth's critics.
He pointed to longtime snipes at the secretary's outspoken anti-wokeness and Christian nationalism, views he noted are popular with much of the rank and file.
He called other criticisms, such as the makeup studio Hegseth installed inside the Pentagon, his staged weightlifting photo ops with troops, and his new grooming and shaving policy and testosterone testing for service members, 'petty distractions, but not impeachable offenses'.
That insider wishes the criticism would focus less on culture-war issues and more on what he sees as war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Caribbean and Iran.
'Let's sweat the big stuff, not the small stuff,' he said Friday.
Meanwhile, Barack Obama launched some of those smaller criticisms Saturday.
'You've got the defense secretary… he's very focused on important matters like the jawlines and testosterone levels of our troops,' the former president told a campaign rally crowd in Ohio.
'How much time do you think this defense secretary spends looking at himself in the mirror in the morning?'

🚨BREAKING: Michigan Senator Elissa Slotkin was caught on undercover video admitting that Democrats already have “signature cases” lined up for every committee so they can prosecute President Trump and members of his cabinet the moment they take the majority.
In the recording, Slotkin said her party is prepared to go after the most “egregious” actions as soon as they regain power. She revealed that she traveled to Hungary specifically to study how officials there handled the removal of what she called an “authoritarian leader,” and she named targets that include the White House ballroom, the reflecting pool, and $200 million in Defense Department spending.
“That’s what you’ll see basically in January,” she said on the video. The comments show Democrats openly planning to use congressional committees as tools for criminal prosecution rather than oversight the second they control the House.

Rozliczenia muszą pójść absolutnie do spodu.

Italian Prime Minister @GiorgiaMeloni has accomplished in just 24 hours what the men of the European Union have failed to do over the last 30 years!
A new policy introduced by Meloni to curb rioting in Italy has left all of Europe stunned.
To contain violent protests carried out in the name of students, she has implemented a firm plan dubbed the "Anti-Riot Doctrine."
Meloni made one thing very clear:
"If you take to the streets and spread chaos, we will empty your parents' bank accounts!"
Anyone involved in violent protests will face 5 years in prison and a fine of 20,000 euros (approximately ₹18 lakh).
She realized that masked rioters backed by foreign funding cannot be stopped by tear gas alone. She decided to eliminate the logistical and financial support sustaining them.
Once she began imposing heavy fines on the parents of the rioters and deployed 500 military personnel to the city of Milan, those young activists who had been filling the streets suddenly vanished—leaving everyone to wonder what caves they had crawled into to hide!
This serves as a sharp rebuke to the "New World Order" conspiracies—orchestrated by billionaires who fund NGOs to destabilize independent nations, using young people as human shields.
By closing the financial and legal loopholes previously exploited under the guise of "protest," the truth about those who stage these dramas in the name of revolution has finally come to light.

🚨ARTICLE: The Shadow Cabinet of Soros🚨
This is the story of National Security Action, a secretive Soros NGO.
Ten days after Trump's inauguration, a former Pentagon official publicly floated a military coup in Foreign Policy magazine. Within a year, she was advising a new Soros-funded organization that quietly assembled 70 former Obama national security officials under one roof.
46 of them went on to staff the Biden administration -- including the Secretary of State, CIA Director, DNI, NSA, and UN Ambassador. 88.6% were Obama alumni. The primary funder: the Open Society Action Fund.
The same woman simultaneously sat on the funder's board and the organization's advisory council. She also co-founded the Transition Integrity Project and spent 14 years at New America developing doctrine on military refusal of orders.

We thought Europe had been cured of totalitarianism. The European Union is proving us wrong.
In the 20th century, Europe had cancer: totalitarianism. Nazism, Stalinism, tens of millions dead. In 1945, then again in 1989, we thought we had beaten it. People talked about the end of history.
But in Western Europe, we never truly eradicated it. We removed the visible tumor: the uniforms, the camps, the dictators. But we left the diseased cells behind. What remains is the belief that a center should decide everything, that the state should manage everything, that peoples must be guided against their will.
And those cells found a new body to grow in: the European Union. A machine that centralizes, standardizes, decides on behalf of the people, and treats every nation that resists as an anomaly to be corrected.
The disease is coming back. It's a relapse, quieter, slower, more polite. But it's the same disease.
People really need to understand this. The only question that matters now is this one: will it kill the organism this time?
To answer that, you have to see the world the way I see it: as an organism.
A cell is an organism. An organ is an organism. A human is an organism. A family, a company, a nation are organisms. And humanity as a whole is an organism.
This isn't just a metaphor. It's a lens that explains a lot.
A healthy organism isn't run by a center that controls everything. Your brain doesn't tell each of your cells how to divide, how to breathe, how to repair itself. Every cell knows how to do its job. Every organ has its own autonomy. The liver doesn't ask the heart for permission. The system works because it's distributed, and because each level does what it does best.
That's exactly how a healthy society works. The individual runs their own life. The family raises its children. The company creates value. The town handles what's local. The nation protects and settles what no one else can settle. Every level has its role, and none devours the others.
And then there's disease.
In biology, there's a name for a cell that forgets it serves an organism, that starts growing without limit, hoards every resource, and colonizes the organs around it. It's called cancer.
Totalitarianism is the cancer of human societies. A center that keeps growing, that absorbs the economy, culture, education, private life, and ends up killing the very organism that feeds it.
But an organism learns. It's its most extraordinary property. Your immune system remembers every infection it has ever defeated. It recognizes the enemy the second time, and it reacts faster.
Humanity works the same way. It learns through trial, through error, and above all through pain.
The 20th century was our great illness.
We tested several forms of totalitarian collectivism at full scale: Stalinism, Hitlerism, Maoism. The flags were different, the theories were different, but the pattern was the same. The promise of a new man. A new order. A central machine that knows better than you what's good for you. Individuals reduced to cogs, nations dissolved into a project bigger than themselves.
And every single time, the result was the same: camps, famines, persecution, tens of millions dead.
Those dead are our immune memory. They're the price the organism paid to learn to recognize the disease.
The problem is that old demons never really die. They come back as zombies, and not with uniforms and parades. They come back in a cleaner suit, with a softer vocabulary. Nobody talks about class struggle or living space anymore. Now it's governance, regulation, harmonization, shared values, the fight against disinformation.
But the underlying logic is the same: centralize, standardize, decide on behalf of the people, and treat any resistance as a malfunction to be fixed.
Today, this temptation has two names, and we already know them: the globalist project and the European Union.
And there's something deeply symbolic about this playing out in Poland.
Poland is the country where World War II began in 1939. The country carved up by Hitler and Stalin at the same time, which lived through Nazism and then communism. The country of Solidarność, the one that started cracking the Soviet bloc from the inside. If any people in Europe has antibodies against totalitarianism, it's the Poles.
Over the past few days, the government of Donald Tusk, Brussels' golden boy, had police surround the Constitutional Tribunal. A judge whom the Polish president had refused to swear in announced she was suspending the Tribunal's president, who was then blocked from entering his own institution. President Nawrocki turned his plane around mid-flight to rush back to Warsaw. He denounced a violation of the constitutional order and the forcible takeover of a state body. Even liberal legal scholars who oppose the Tribunal's president say the legal basis for this suspension is nonexistent.
Let's call it what it is: an attempted coup. And to me, this is the European project showing its true face. When the ballot box and the institutions don't go the right way, you go around the ballot box and you seize the institutions.
If this power grab succeeds, you can picture a world that slowly slides toward a third world war. A Europe fracturing between peoples who resist and powers who impose. And at the end of it, everything that always follows: camps, famines, persecution. History doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes.
And yet, I'm optimistic. Deeply.
Because the organism has learned. The immune memory is there. Millions of people see the pattern. They feel something is wrong, even if they can't quite put it into words yet. Information now flows outside the controlled channels. The antibodies are waking up, in Poland, in Hungary, in the United States, and in France too.
I believe we're capable of not repeating the same mistakes. But for that, we'll have to choose. And we'll have to choose with clear eyes.
The first path is totalitarianism. The path of Macron, Philippe, Attal, and everyone who embodies the globalist project.
The most unsettling part is that even they don't realize it. They're not movie villains. They sincerely believe they're doing good. They're cogs in a machine bigger than they are, a machine that is gently taking us back to where we've already been. That's always how it starts. Totalitarianism never needed monsters. It needs people convinced they're right, and a system with no checks and balances left.
The second path is a return to sovereign nations.
A state that massively pulls back from what it doesn't know how to do, starting with the economy. That stops planning, subsidizing, and regulating every move of every entrepreneur. That gives individuals, families, and companies their autonomy back, like the organs of a healthy body.
And a state that refocuses radically on its core sovereign functions, on what only it can do: security, justice, borders, defense. A smaller but stronger state. Less present in your life, but truly there when it matters.
It's a return to the logic of living things. A distributed organism, where every level does its job, and the center protects without devouring.
There's no real third way anymore. The status quo isn't an option: it's just the first path taken slowly.
The organism has already seen where the first road leads. It still carries the scars.
So, will the cancer kill the organism? I don't think so. But only if we choose the second road. And only if we choose it now.

UPDATE: The Course of the COUP ATTEMPT by Donald Tusk, supported by the EU‼️
1. The left-wing Prime Minister Donald Tusk attempted to appoint eight judges to the Constitutional Court, although he was only allowed to appoint three.
2. The right-conservative President Karol Nawrocki administered the oath of office only to three judges, as prescribed by law.
3. Tusk organized a parallel swearing-in for the other five by administering the oath to them himself, although the constitution stipulates that only the president may do this.
4. Nawrocki left the country for a scheduled trip to Senegal.
5. One of the judges illegally sworn in by Tusk ordered the removal of the President of the Court, the right-conservative Bogdan Święczkowski.
6. Tusk ordered the police to block access to the court and thus deny entry to the President of the Supreme Court.
7. Nawrocki interrupted his trip and returned to Poland in haste.
8. In the night to Friday, he personally positioned himself in front of the court building and struggled with the police to gain access.
9. Once he was in the court building, he removed the five judges illegally sworn in by Tusk and granted the President of the Supreme Court access to his office.

When they cannot steal the election, they do not rest. They do not stop. Let that be a lesson & a warning to all.
For anyone still failing to grasp the sheer gravity of what has unfolded in Poland since yesterday, or who has remained unaware because the mainstream media have conveniently buried the story, leaving social media as virtually the only source of information:
Tusk’s government ordered that the presidential aircraft carrying Poland’s Head of State, President Karol Nawrocki, be denied landing clearance. The military pilots, refusing to comply with what they clearly regarded as an unacceptable order, defied the control tower and landed anyway.
And what about Brussels?
Deafening silence.
No outrage, no condemnation, no defence of constitutional order.
We all know the routine: the moment the political damage becomes impossible to ignore, the Brussels establishment will rush to Tusk’s defence.
After all, he is von der Leyen’s political loyalist, and it is difficult to believe that he would have dared to take such an extraordinary step without the backing ,or at least the approval, of his political patrons.
This is not some trivial political spat. These are allegations of an extraordinary abuse of state authority, and they demand immediate answers. Poland deserves the truth, not a wall of silence from Brussels.
