A wonderful ball from Eze so I have no idea how Ben White doesn't put this in the back of the net

A full-blooded challenge on a 16 year old which could have ended badly in Max Dowman getting hurt.
A red card is really harsh here for Dowman.

Mikel Arteta was clearly not happy with the Max Dowman red card and he let him know immediately 😳
Lazio have 22 points from eight games and 12 expected points. Nobody in Italy is living further above their chances 📈
Their 16 goals have come from 11.9 expected goals, and away from home it is 2 goals a game from 1.44 expected. They take 13.9 shots a game, 12th in Serie A, and put 4.3 of them on target. They are not creating this.
Sassuolo are. 1.53 expected goals a game, more than Lazio manage, and 12 goals from 12.2 expected, so nothing in their season is a run of luck.
At the Mapei it has held all season. Three home games, two wins and a draw, 2 goals a game, and the three visitors were Juventus, Milan and Torino, all of them top half. They beat Juventus 3-2 and drew Milan 1-1 there.
Lazio come without Rovella and Marusic, Gudmundsson is out and Pinamonti is a doubt after illness. On a Tuesday night in Reggio Emilia that is a thin bench.
Sassuolo have not kept a clean sheet all season and have conceded in 11 league games in a row, so this is a night for outscoring them. At home that is what they do.
🎯 Sassuolo to win.

This was Mikel Arteta at 28 years of age by the way. Who remembers when he poked Morten Gamst Pedersen in the eye?
Anything less than defending Dowman in the press conference will just be utter hypocrisy.
There is zero rationale for a bunch of 30 year olds trying to take out a 16 year old.

4th division Fleetwood Town knock Arsenal out of the Carabao Cup.
It's 2012 Bradford City all over again ffs...

Outstanding vision as always from Odegaard. You can clearly see that Myles Lewis-Skelly wants the pass earlier.
Havertz should've released the ball quicker.

Gotta love how selfless and game aware Kai Havertz is.
Clearly knows he's offside here and does not bother stealing the goal from Gyokeres.

The finish might have been sloppy here, but one thing you can never deny about Gyokeres is that his box movement is always trop drawer 👏

Clubs will likely show strong interest in taking Marli Salmon on loan in January 👀
Arsenal believed Salmon could have a role to play in the early part of this season, given he can cover at right-back or in central defence.
