Think of it using Uganda.
Imagine Mzee is President of Uganda, but during parliamentary elections, the opposition, say NUP, wins the majority of seats in Parliament.
What happens?
Mzee remains President. He was elected separately for a five-year presidential term. Winning Parliament doesn鈥檛 automatically remove him.
NUP controls Parliament. They now have the numbers to debate government policies, scrutinise ministers, reject certain proposals and influence legislation.
Mzee still runs State House. He remains Commander-in-Chief and retains his constitutional presidential powers.
Government becomes politically complicated. The President has to deal with a Parliament controlled by Bobi馃槄
That鈥檚 essentially what鈥檚 happening in America.
Trump is like Museveni in this analogy. Democrats are like NUP. Congress is like Uganda鈥檚 Parliament.
The important distinction though, Americans vote separately for their President and their legislators. Winning one election doesn鈥檛 automatically mean winning the other.
So, imagine NUP wins Parliament tomorrow, but Museveni still has three years left on his presidential term.
That鈥檚 how you should understand the American situation. 馃槀
Driving through Bweera, Kazo and Nyabushozi in rainy season is so therapeutic. The sight of healthy-looking cattle, fully-grown green pastures and cleared farms at sunset (omukireenga bazaana) is such a beauty.

Why is this even a discussion? Even if the house was his, how is that a problem?
Lt. Mabonga鈥檚 credibility is increasingly coming into question. How can someone make serious allegations about a senior UPDF officer without first verifying basic facts? He circulated a house on TikTok claiming it belongs to SFC Commander Maj Gen Asaph Mweteise Nyakikuru @AsaphMweteise ,yet the property belongs to a private security company owned by Mr Richard Kintu, a businessman who also deals in real estate. The house is actually on the market for sale.
Is this how Lt. Mabonga establishes facts? Before attacking other people鈥檚 integrity, shouldn鈥檛 he first get his own facts right? When someone repeatedly makes claims without credible evidence, the public has every reason to question the reliability of their statements.
Lt. Mabonga should stop using social media to damage people鈥檚 reputations and provide evidence for his allegations. Accountability begins with telling the truth.
Rwandans' love for their president is justifiable because the man has worked magic on that country, unlike some people in some countries. 馃檪
Alan Kasujja said that President Museveni is the Sun and all other political actors are the stars. Museveni illuminates all these stars.
@kasujja, what will happen when the Sun has exhausted its hydrogen because that is inescapable?
Those asking about the king of Ankole, he is the one in the last frame. 馃檪
Let @Brianw256 read United States v Wilhelm and section 10 of Human Rights (Enforcement) Act Cap 12.

Fred, have you heard of a doctrine called Vicarious Liability? If so, are you conversant with its legal implications?
