Erika: Every charger says “slow charger!” Me: @Apple wants you to buy a new #iphone. E: Paranoid much? M: paranoid in 2017 when we said Apple was intentionally throttling older phones to get us to buy new ones. E: And? M: They were, and they had to pay out on a $500m settlement.

Sitting here at @CreditUnionWest trying to deposit a handful of change and they won’t take it. So much for them being better than a bank.

Love it! I still run my 2010 Mac Pro.
I just got gifted a 2007 Mac Pro 2,1... this absolute unit weighs a ton. I think I'm gonna cancel my gym membership and just start doing CrossFit with the tower instead. 🏋️‍♂️ #retropc

Not only does a great human narrator make a book come alive, but Darla Middlebrook’s narration of my mystery series inspired me to write more! I wrote book three with her narration in mind, and it’s amazing because of it.
I’ve listened to multiple audiobooks this week on my commutes to my jobs, and I can’t express how much a good narrator - a HUMAN narrator - makes a story emotional and amazing. Kristin Atheron, Travis Baldree, Shane East and Major Curda all blew my mind this week. Hire. Humans.

2.5 hours today rough setup, and we figure we have 4-5 hours tomorrow to finish setting up the @Scholastic #bookfair in Erika’s library.

Mission accomplished. It was only like 3 hours because we had three teachers (and their family members), plus my family (even grandma) working to make it happen.

LOL, it only took two hours to break down the @Scholastic #bookfair. Erika did something like $9700 in gross sales over four days!

Interview today went well! Meeting them next week to talk schedules. Looks like they’re fine with having me in evenings/Sundays. Fourth job, here I come! 💪 Also, please share my books so maybe they get traction and I can make some sales and have a normal amount of jobs 😂😭😮‍💨

Should be out of the box though and put on display (or better yet: played) ❤️

Yup.
Duck Hunt for the NES from 1984 felt like magic. The actual technology behind it - though not magic - was pretty smart and relied more on how the human eye works (or in this case: doesn't work). The NES Zapper is a simple light gun that contains a photodiode (a light sensor) and a trigger button, it doesn’t actually shoot anything itself. When you pull the trigger in Duck Hunt, the game briefly turns the entire screen black for one frame, then immediately shows a white box exactly where each duck or other target is. The Zapper’s sensor checks whether it sees that sudden bright light, and if it does, the game counts a hit, and if not, it’s a miss. The reason why you don't see this? It simply happens too fast (a fraction of a second), so you barely notice the flash, especially not in the heat of the moment. This only works properly on old CRT TVs because of how they draw the image. Illusion perfected!

It’s confounding how many people think we can’t see the slop within their works and “art.”
I've got more author interviews sitting in my email, but FUCK I just had a second AND third one since yesterday who I followed the links of and found gen AI stuff. After I'd drafted and edited their posts. I'm literally about to stop doing these. STOP LYING IN YOUR EMAILS TO ME.

I saw a tweet about SMB for the NES, and had to try it out. Got the box ‘o nostalgia out. Can’t find my final fantasy, Dragon Quest, & Zelda carts/discs. Or my NGC memory cards… (I can still play all these because I own the physical media)

I feel your pain.
Trying not to feel super down about not having sold a book in a week on KDP, so I'm going to draft some blog posts and avoid my feelings. If I can't sell my own books, I can at least promote others 💪

Here’s all the crap @TMobile won’t let me send back to them. I haven’t even had them ten days.

So, apparently, when @TMobile installed fiber, they failed the first attempt. Now that I’ve cancelled, here’s what my wall looks like.

It’s been over three hours. The current @TMobile fiber tech support doesn’t have a record of the outage. I’m beginning to think someone is lying.
