We are on the verge of expanding the #FitCop programme, a dedicated application to monitor and improve the health and well-being of police personnel, across all units and wings of #Telangana #Police. Today, I held a meeting with the app developers, our tech team and senior officers to review the health parameter fields, features required in the app. We have found a sponsor who is ready to fund the entire programme for the next 10 years . Later we discussed the MOU, the rollout action plan once it is launched in not more than 40 to 45 days.
This will involve checking and recording the health parameters of all the 90, 000 members of TG police. The first phase will focus on screening BMI, height, weight, blood pressure and diabetes, followed by targeted guidance and monitoring of high-risk personnel by doctors calling from the call centre.
This welfare initiative will also support mental health, personalised diet and exercise recommendations, and overall wellness. Our objective is not merely to monitor health, but to help every police personnel lead a healthier life, improve well-being and enhance work efficiency.
