In corporate, I’m a big fan of people who are highly knowledgeable yet remain humble and kind, treat everyone with respect, and never make others feel small.
True intelligence comes with humility.
Unless you’re earning above 20 LPA in India, start building something of your own. It could be anything, a product or a service based on your skills. Don’t depend on your manager for growth. Most are busy securing their own jobs and won’t encourage someone they see as a threat.
Just gave a Diwali Bonus of 1.8 lakh rupees to all employees in my company without even posting on LinkedIn
Yes we exist.
It won’t last. People have realised spending on these concerts isn’t worth it.
A huge new economy is opening up in India, and most people haven't noticed: concerts.
The projection for this year is 682% growth in tier 2 cities. The estimate is ₹1,800 crore+ from concerts alone.
Team Innovation, the biggest company in the space, is bringing a festival to Goa this December. Karan Aujla will play his first ticketed concert in the state there.
This could be the biggest career opportunity right now. If music interests you, find a job in this space.
The best part about AI is unfolding. The system that fed us corporate life is everything and it’s all about to fall apart.
I find it easier to connect and speak with founders and CEOs in Europe than with some corporate professionals in India.
The sense of entitlement that comes with a job title is astonishing.
Your designation is just a title. It doesn’t make you superior to anyone.
Hi @nxcoventry, is bus number 18 still running? I used to take it to Charter Avenue during my uni days. If Uncle Ben’s still working, give him a shout. Happy Diwali to all of you!
I’ve stopped ordering from @zomato. I’ll probably just go directly order from the restaurant and get it delivered by them or use Porter/Rapido.
It’s not your CV that matters; it’s the line manager who recruits only those they believe won’t threaten their position. Similarly, play dumb during interviews. If you want a job.
I disagree. It’s not about intelligence but rather who makes quick decisions and takes action with minimal damage. The market for “only I know things” people has declined, particularly in the top tier of corporate. These individuals once believed the world revolved around them.
being smart will make you poor in 2027 and the years ahead. intelligence used to be an economic edge but now ai has made intellectual work accessible to everyone, the real edge now is high agency: moving fast, taking risks, selling, building, making decisions and creating value beyond just being “smart.” smart people who overthink everything will get outpaced by people who j execute fast and figure things out on the way.
Passive income changes your life.
When money starts coming without working,
Your thinking changes.
Your confidence changes.
Your life changes.
I’ve already taken the plunge and started farming. It’s free from office politics and the constant threat of losing your job if you don’t work your hardest.
It won’t be enough. You need to impress your line manager first and they won’t promote you unless you demonstrate your potential for growth.
